The day my life changed was the day that I decided to look in the mirror and take responsibility. You know, everything in my life, I used to blame the external environment, people, places, things, situations that had happened to me in my life. I used to blame others. And then one day I looked in the mirror and I got brutally honest with myself about the fact that it was my fault because I either created it or I stayed in it. So I had a part in it regardless. And the day that I was able to recognize my part and take responsibility and extreme ownership for my life was the day that things began to change. And what I believe to be the worst day of my life was simultaneously the best day of my life. The day that I was at my lowest point was the day that I decided to make a change. Today can be that day for you, the day that you decide to take radical accountability for the conditions in your life, no longer looking into the external to blame people, places, things, situations. No, you're looking at yourself, you're looking in the mirror, and you're getting honest. It's my fault, it's my responsibility, I'm the issue. Because either I perpetuate it, I exacerbate it, I stay in it, I participate in it, I engage in it, I entertain it, or I'm creating solution in my life. I'm stepping into something different in my life. I'm stepping into greatness in my life. I'm stepping into what God has for me in my life. That I was meant for more than this. And to live and suffer in this momentary excuse that I use about the fact that it's external issues, things out of my control, puts me in a state of powerlessness where I can no longer use my power that God has given me to change my circumstances. You have it in you. Stop saying that you're powerless. Stop believing that you can't fix it. Stop believing that you're not the issue. Stop believing that it's hopeless. Stop believing this. This is a story that you tell yourself, and that story is powerful. That That narrative is powerful. That story creates a physiology, a chemistry. It creates emotions and behaviors that are in alignment with that story. And then guess what? You don't try, you don't invest, you don't believe, and you put off that energy. And you put off an energy of apathy and indifference towards the problems inside your relationship. And when you do that, people start to think that you don't care, when deep down inside you know that you do. And that's the worst part. It's the worst part is when you care so much but it hurts to show that you do. But Those are the moments, brother. Those are the moments where you're able to be honest and transparent about the reality in your life. Stop avoiding it. Stop dissociating from it. Stop escaping from it and start to recognize that you can do something about it.
