The key to overcoming self-sabotage

A speaker tells men that thinking about problems doesn't solve them. Indecision causes self-sabotage and decay in your life, relationships, and spirit. Courage means acting despite fear, and the time to change is now, not tomorrow.

There is no such thing as riding the fence, walking on the knife's edge. You're either in or you're out. Stop talking about it. We gotta be about it. We gotta be on the journey. A lot of guys, I talk to them and I have conversations with them and they tell me, I hear it all the time, well, let me think about it. Let me think about it. More time does not equal more information. See, that's the lie that we fall into. Let me think about it. As everything in their life is falling apart and decaying, they need to think about the action step that they need to take today to save it from collapsing on them. Let me think about it. As this wall is coming down on me brick by brick, let me think about it. Think about what? What do you need to think about? No, thinking about it— see, procrastination is what got you into the situation that you're in, brother. And how tragic would it be if that same procrastination took you away from an opportunity to solve it, to defeat it, to walk in victory? Because I could teach you how to fight. I could give you the sword. I could give you the shield. I I can train you, I can prepare you, but nothing is as powerful as when you get the victory on your own. When your wife looks at you in a way that you haven't seen her look at you since the day you got married, when you got— but when she's got butterflies in her stomach when she looks at you, when she bats her eyelashes And she looks at you like, oh my gosh, I am so in love with this man. Not because of what he's done for me, but because of the sacrifices that he's made for this family, for our future, for himself, so that he didn't get swallowed into the abyss, into the never-ending pit, which was only taking him to a place of self-destruction that even I know he didn't want to be. I am so turned on by his honesty, his bravery, his valor, and his courage and willingness to walk into the eye of the storm despite the fact that he was afraid. Because guess what? Courage cannot exist in the absence of fear. Courage cannot exist in the absence of fear. So you want to be courageous? Well, then you need to be afraid. I need to think about it. I need to think about— you don't need to think about anything. You can't sit passively on the sideline even watching these videos one more second before you take action. And look, brother, whether you get help with me or somebody else, you need it today. Give yourself the gift, the gift of aiming and pulling the trigger, aiming and taking action. Stop lying to yourself. Stop bargaining. Stop procrastinating. Stop manipulating. And stop falling into the same traps of self-abandonment, self-betrayal, and self-neglect. It's time for you to step into something new. Because God's always doing new things in old people.
