Are you more willing to pay for the consequences of your ACTIONS than the" (uploaded/created 2023-08-21). The excerpt is a motivational/self-help monologue by Tim Arrigo addressing men about investing in themselves (therapy, coaching, personal growth) rather than only paying for the consequences of destructive behavior. He discusses impacts on family (children, spouses), recounts a client anecdote about high return on investing in oneself, and urges men to overcome ego/pride and ask for help to transform their lives.

So many men are more willing to pay for the consequences, like financially pay for the consequences of their behavior, than actually pay for the solution, right? So many men are actually willing to pay for their kids to go to therapy because their kids are watching them self-destruct and it's completely destroying their kids emotionally. They're willing to pay for their kids to go to therapy or, you you know, other support groups or pay for their kids to get help or pay for their wife to get help or buy their wife more jewelry, spend more money on, you know, family vacations to try to correct the problem and make up for what they're doing. But they're not willing to actually invest in themselves. I talked to a client earlier. He said, this is the biggest investment I've ever made in myself. And it's the biggest return I've ever got on this investment. And that's the reality is sometimes guys, we're just so used to trying to solve the problem on our own. We're so used to just trying to resolve it on our own. And it's so embarrassing sometimes for us to have to admit that we don't have the answers to the biggest problems in our life, right? Everybody comes to us for answers, but yet we don't have the answers to the biggest problems in our own life. But real men, they, they know when to ask for help. They don't go down with a sinking ship. Just because of their ego and pride. So always remember, like, and look, are you more willing to invest in putting money into the consequences that are caused by the things that you're doing? Or are you more willing to actually put money into the solutions that can actually eradicate what you're doing completely and revolutionize your life? Sometimes, guys, we're not afraid of our darkness. We're afraid of our light. And there's nothing worse, right? You got nothing worse. You got, you got a child who's afraid of the darkness. Well, you know what's worse than that? An adult who's afraid of the light.
