So I just got off the phone with a client of mine and he was asking me, he said, Tim, I can never drink again. I can never smoke again. I can't watch sports at night when my wife and kids are doing other stuff. I can't go in my man cave and isolate. You know, I can't sleep in anymore. You know, I'm having a real hard time with this, man. I can't skip the gym if I'm tired or need to recover or I I can't, you know, eat junk food every once in a while. And, and you know, it brought me back to a time earlier in my life where I remember holding on by a thread just like that, bargaining with myself, right? It's called bargaining. You know, I think there's a part of every one of us, especially in the beginning, that does this. And it's crazy how sometimes we don't want to let go of the things that are slowly killing us. right? Whether that's a relationship, a behavior, or even just the way that we think, right? Sometimes our comfort zone is slowly killing us, and most of the time we're just so focused on what we have to give up that we're not looking at what we have to gain, right? So I asked him, I said, can I reverse the question on you? I said, how about never again feeling toxic shame but self-respect instead. Or never again feeling self-hatred but self, self-love. Or never again feeling depression but joy. Or never again feeling debilitating anxiety but inner peace. Or never again, right, being crippled by fear. You know, sometimes, guys, in our life, we want to change so badly, but we're not really willing to sacrifice everything we are for everything will become. And at the end of the day, that sacrifice is simply just a choice, right? So my question is, what are you willing to sacrifice? Because if you don't make sacrifices for what you want, then what you want will become the sacrifice.
