Many men regress to childlike behavior when triggered by emotions, using denial as a survival strategy that once protected them but now traps them. Breaking through these walls requires vulnerability and emotional intelligence to stop blocking love and avoid loneliness.

Client's wife reached out to me the other day and she says, I don't know what's happening to my husband. It's like something triggers him and he turns into a child. And I said, yeah, that's because your husband is having an age regression. When he gets triggered and he feels specific emotions, he regresses to a former version of himself as a way to try to survive or deal with the the moment, deal with the emotions, deal with the trigger, deal with what he's feeling, deal with the conflict. Why? Because he's erected these walls in his life, these walls, these survival mechanisms, these defense mechanisms. But these walls, what have they done? They become like a safe place for him, but at the same time, these also become a prison. He's erected a prison that he now can't escape from. Why? Because it forces him to have to get vulnerable. It forces him to have to be open. It forces him to have to acknowledge what's really going on on the inside. And how could he do that when he's a stranger to himself? How could he do that when he doesn't have the emotional intelligence? How could he do that when he's wounded but won't acknowledge it. You can escape, but you have to be willing to take it down brick by brick. Brick by brick, brother. Your walls of denial, your walls of self-deception, they served you at some point in your life. Every brick that you put served you at some point in your life, but now you're trapped by it. Your denial is suffocating you. Your denial is killing you. You and I both know that you need help. There's nothing mature about suppressing what's going on with you. I know because I've been there. This is my invitation to you. This is my encouragement to you, brother. This is my hope for you, that you see the necessity to do this work, to bring down these walls so you can experience the love that people have for you. People in your life are frustrated by the fact that you won't let them love you and that you won't love them in return. Because of that. Stop waiting. You want to be lonely, all alone, by yourself, on your own, wishing and hoping that you could have made the changes? You want to wait until it's too late? That weight of regret like a Doc Martin just crushing your chest. It's time to put in the work and demo these walls.
