It is a single-speaker, sermon-style/motivational monologue in which the speaker (labeled SPEAKER A) shares a personal anecdote about a client who overdosed and uses the story to urge listeners to act on promptings from God/the Holy Spirit, leave comfort zones, make peace with others, and express love before it's too late.

I had a client years ago and he came by the office and he was in bad shape. He had used drugs over the weekend and he came back and he was emaciated. I've never seen somebody change so quickly in such a short period of time, and my heart broke in the office. And he said, I just want my belongings and just let me go. And you know, you have no choice. You can't control people, right? So he signs his form to get his belongings, he takes his belongings, and He's walking towards the elevator at the end of the hallway. And as he walked towards the elevator, I heard the voice of God speak to me and say, that's the last time you're ever going to see him. And I ran after him in the hallway and I said, hey, stop, stop. And he turned around. And as the elevator door was closing, I reached in and the door opened. And he said, what? And I said, give me a hug, man. I love you, brother. 2 weeks later, I got the call that he had passed. He had a drug overdose and died. My question is, when the voice of God is speaking to you, for you to take action and for you to reach out your hand and for you to make yourself uncomfortable in situations and for you to actually meet those moments where the elevator door is closing, why are you waiting? Right now, you might have an elevator door that's closing in your life, and you're sitting on the sidelines sulking and pity, right? Ruminating in all the negative thoughts, all those ants, automatic negative thoughts. And all you're doing is you're just making it worse. You're stuck in a cycle where you're not taking action. You're an action taker, man. And when God is speaking to you directly, why are you waiting? Like, when we talk about obedience to the will of God, like obedience to the Holy Spirit, it means acting in accordance with what God is telling me. Which means getting out of my comfort zone. And that comfort zone is killing you. It's a place, right? There's no fruit there. You're in the valley, you're in darkness. So why are you staying there, bro? The door is closing, and there are people that you love on the other side of that door. Life is short. Don't wait until it's too late to say goodbye. Don't wait until it's too late to make peace with it. Don't wait until it's too late to tell people in your life that, hey, no matter what happens, I love you. Because all I care about at the end of this is that I have a clear conscience, knowing that my side of the street is clean. Don't wait until the door closes and it's too late, man.
