You want to know how to win every argument with your wife? The real way to win every single argument with your wife is to learn how to de-escalate the situation. And see, a lot of times all you're doing is pouring gasoline on the fire. You're just making it worse. You're making it worse based on your ego, your emotional reaction, wanting to exalt yourself over your wife to appear superior and always wanting to be right. Being right every single time isn't gonna help you resolve the arguments with your wife and is never going to allow you to win. You're always gonna look like the bad guy. Let me ask you, aren't you tired of knowing that you're a good man but being labeled as a bad guy because of your emotional reactions, your behavior, the excuses that you have to make about why you treat your wife poorly? Would you— let me ask you this— would you take the trash cans from outside of your house and bring them inside and empty them in your living room? Obviously you wouldn't. So why would you come home and take out your aggression and anger on the people that love you the most? You're one of your biggest assets. You think your biggest asset is your business? Your wife wants to be there to support you, but no one wants to support a tyrant. No one wants to support someone that's ego-driven, that can't admit they're wrong, that can't apologize, that doesn't have humility, transparency, openness, open-mindedness. And see, you don't even know why your wife's triggered half the time because you can't downshift, you can't empathize, you don't want to seek to understand. You don't even know her that well. You don't even know how your behaviors are just antagonizing things from her past. You don't even know her that well. Are you a safe person? Become a safe person and learn that winning every argument with your wife is allowing her to be right sometimes, humbling yourself and saying, hey, I apologize, and I appreciate that you care about this, and I know where this is coming from in you, honey. I know, I know where it's coming from in you. It's being able to have x-ray vision, x-ray eyes to see beyond the trigger, beyond the problem, into the solution. So if you want to win every argument with your wife, it's about learning what allows her to feel like she's one, what allows her to feel like she has a voice. Learn to close your mouth, speak last. Learn to listen and observe. Pause, digest, reflect, and learn to operate from a place of logic, real solution-oriented thinking.
