In this motivational monologue, Tim Arrigo addresses fathers, urging them to recognize that they are the primary template for their sons. He emphasizes that a son learns through observation and conditioning, so the father’s behaviors—whether they embody perseverance, discipline, stoicism, emotional coherence, and self‑control, or fall into victimhood, excuses, self‑destruction, and emotional volatility—directly shape the son’s future. Arrigo argues that men must stop being selfish and instead model the honorable, warrior‑like qualities needed for the next generation, calling fathers to take responsibility, make personal changes, and lead by example for a better future for their children.

So your son is getting older, and as he follows down the trail and the path to become an adult, well, who is showing him that way? Who's carving out that path for your son? Who's teaching him how to become a responsible, honorable, respectable man? Who's showing him that path? Are you the man that you want your son to become? Are you truly embodying the qualities that you want your son to possess? Are you living in alignment with a man that you admire, a man that you would want your son to become? Because let me tell you this much, you are the template. You are inevitably leading the way, pioneering a path for your son to follow. And see, through observational learning and through conditioning, your son is gonna repeat a lot of the same behaviors that you did. He's gonna experience a lot of his worth and value, right, based on how you connect with him, what you show him, what you model for him. What are you modeling for your son? Are you modeling perseverance? Are you modeling discipline? Are you modeling stoicism? Are you modeling, right, emotional coherence? Are you modeling, right, self-control? Or are you modeling victimhood? Are you, are you modeling self-destruction? Are you modeling escaping? Are you modeling making excuses? Are you modeling, right, emotionally imploding and exploding on everybody around you? What do you model for your son? Because the model that you carve out for your son, that's like you're creating a mold that he's going to grow into, that inevitably is going to take shape and affect every area of his life. And let me tell you this, If you're not going to do it for you, if you're not going to make the changes for you, then why don't you stop being selfish and do it for your son? Because he deserves a better future, and he deserves to have somebody in his life. He deserves to have a father in his life that walks a righteous path, that leads by example, that is a rare man in this generation. Because let me tell you right now, what we don't need is more soft men. What we don't need is more men who take the easy way out, who take shortcuts, who make excuses, who act like a victim. What we need is powerful warriors. What we need is powerful men in this generation. So let me ask you, why don't you answer that call? What are you waiting for?
