Your Family's Unspoken Needs

A man's worth comes from serving his family, not from personal gain. The speaker uses war imagery to argue that embracing hardship and sacrifice builds the confidence that naturally earns respect from those who depend on him.

It's not about you anymore. Don't you understand that God's called you to be a living sacrifice? Some of you guys hear that and it goes right over your head. You don't even know what I'm talking about. I'm talking about your— everything you're looking for, every single thing you're looking for internally, the ways that you want to feel. You know where that's achieved? That's achieved when you have become an asset, when you have become valuable, when you have become reliable, dependable, when you have become a source of reasoning, when you become an ear to listen, when you've become a man. That the people in your life that love you and depend on you come to when they struggle, because that's where you find purpose. A lot of you guys, you struggle with your worth. You struggle with your worth because you struggle with your value, and you struggle with your value because you don't understand and you don't connect to your potential. Anything that's alive has potential, and anything that has potential has value. Things that have potential are valuable, and anything that's valuable is worth something. And guess where you find your potential? In being of service to the people that love you. It's not about you anymore. This is frontline warfare. It's not about how you feel anymore. It's about who do I need to be for them? Who do I need to be for these people in my life that love me and depend on me? Forget me. Who are you in the spirit? Who do you see yourself as in the spirit? Do you see yourself as war-torn, battle-tested, tethered? That I've been through the fight and I'm willing to fight and stand up for my family and go to war? That it's not about me anymore? I'll be a living sacrifice for my family. Who does my family need me to be? Because a lot of us got caught in those selfish pursuits and everything that we want, we still seek external validation. Oh, I want my wife to admire me. I want her to come after me. No, when you emanate that energy of pure confidence that comes from being in alignment with the man that you know you need to be, people are naturally attracted to that. They naturally respect that. They naturally admire that. They naturally pursue that. They naturally see that you're a man who's so connected to his purpose, to his mission, to to his vision, to his values, that nothing, nothing, nothing will take him off course. And then he will die taking a bullet for the people that he loves, that he will die defending the home, that he will die defending and continuing to take territory for his family. There's nothing powerful about you being meek, bro. There's nothing powerful about you sitting on the sideline and being passive. It's time for you to learn that life isn't about avoiding pain. It's about collecting scars. Cause scars prove that I was there and that I didn't run away.
