You’re the only one who can give yourself this gift

Hey brother, how are you? I know you're struggling, feeling like you're all alone and nobody understands, but I do. I understand because I've been there. Feel like you can't open up, you feel like nothing you ever do is good enough, you feel like you're just stuck in this place in your life that you feel like you can't solve and that you're the only person going through what you're going through. I've been there. I've been there, consumed by darkness, consumed by negativity, consumed by your anger, consumed by just your desire at times to want to give up. And that's natural and normal, bro. But I want to encourage you today, and I want to inspire you today, and I want to remind you today, brother, that you haven't had your greatest moment yet. Your kids crawling all over you, calling you dad, telling you how much they love you. Your wife looking at you like a knight in shining armor. You're her hero. Your energy lifts up your family. You're a living inspiration for other men who are stuck in their emotional incarceration. And brother, I want to tell you today that there's still hope for you. I want to remind you today that you got greatness in you because greatness made you. And God didn't create you to live a mediocre, mundane life. He created you for greatness. He created you for great things. He created you with a purpose, for a purpose, on purpose. You're a difference maker, bro. Don't sit back and allow this negativity to consume you and make you believe that you can't achieve great things. You are the creator of your own beliefs. Don't look at your situation and start to interpret that through the lens of I can't, or I won't, or this isn't gonna work for me. You got to get out of that mentality, dude. I know because that mentality almost killed me. It took me to a place where I was in so much pain that I didn't have any room for anybody else in my life. And I know what it feels like, stuck in the emotional incarceration, in the bondage. You want to break through, you want to, you want to change, but you just feel like you're stuck in this place of this is all I know. And I want to tell you that majority of the time, bro, just like me, you're just afraid. You're afraid of change. You're afraid of what that change is going to look like. Will it change who I am? Will it change how I interact with people? And will I— will I become— will I become somebody that I don't want to be? It's like sometimes it's so hard to imagine what a breakthrough would look like because you haven't had one. You can't really envision the future that you want to have because the road to get there seems like Mount Everest. It seems insurmountable. It seems like something that you can't conquer. But let me tell you today, brother, you can't conquer what you don't confront. You can't conquer what you don't confront. You need other men in your life to support you on this journey, bro. You're not alone. Your situation might feel unique, but I want to tell you, brother, it's not. Your story is, but your situation is a place that you can solve. Brother, I want to tell you that God has a promised land carved out for you. All this suffering that you're going through, it's shaping your heart, man, towards a more compassionate, more self-aware more self-controlled, more empowered, more confident version of yourself. And listen to me when I say this: why aren't you giving yourself your best? You deserve that. You deserve to see and experience yourself giving yourself your best. Because think about it, by not giving yourself your best, what kind of message do you subconsciously send yourself? You know what the message is? It's that you don't matter. My question for you is, who sent you that message? A message that you don't matter, that I get to sit on the sideline and watch my life and opportunities to change my life pass me by. Because let me tell you, brother, I waited way too long to make those changes. Stop procrastinating your peace. Stop procrastinating a better version of you. Stop procrastinating a place that God already has for you. Brother, I want to encourage you today to reach out, even just find that little spark of hope in you to understand that I can do this. What if I do this and it changes my life? What if I do this and it inspires my family? What if I do this and it takes me to a place that I always knew and believed I could go? But see, it's not for everybody because it requires you to do something that a lot of us aren't used to doing, and that's commit. That's commit. Requires you to believe in yourself. And maybe you're the first person in your life that's ever truly believed in you.
