Tim Davies argues that polycomputers represent the next major industrial shift, comparing it to when businesses moved from ledgers to computers in the 1980s and 90s. Owners who don't keep up with technology won't understand what comes next for their business.
So polycomputers is the first real industrial revolution. We sort of came across when businesses were bringing in these powerful computers that then started to do the jobs. We're not quite talking back with mainframes, are we? We're not going back too far, but probably we're talking late 80s, 90s when I first started getting involved with computers and I've always enjoyed technology. So I think if a top 10 of a business in a business owner's world, top 10 is staying up with technology best you can not mainly you need to know how to do it, but understanding it a bit, you know, because if you fall out of the way of technology, then you're just going to get left behind so far that you're not going to be able to understand what your next step is. So companies aren't using written ledgers anymore. Computers have pretty much solved that. And then obviously the Internet Internet fundamentally changed things again.
