Public speaking is a perishable skill that needs constant practice. One speaker won a 45-second pitch competition about 25 times over four to five years by treating each attempt as deliberate practice, earning longer pitch slots as a result.
One of the things I think we're speaking is it's a perishable skill. So you have to practice and you have to do it regularly, which is what one of the things I think is really valuable about the app. We have both been members of a regular networking group that meets on a regular basis. And as part of that, there is an award for the best, the best pitch, I suppose. So you get 45 seconds to land something. And over the last 4 or 5 years, I've always used that as an opportunity to practice different strategies and how they land. And I'm quite proud. I, I worked out the other day that I've, I've won the award, I think, 25 times in that period of time, which is, which is obviously great because then you get to do a longer, a longer pitch.
