Welcome to the Future Learning Design Podcast. Hi everyone. Thanks for joining me here on the Future Learning Design Podcast channel. My name is Tim Logan, and since 2019, I have had the fantastic opportunity to be able to chat with many of the world's most exciting thinkers and entrepreneurs exploring the future of education. But it has also become increasingly clear to me that we are being asked a much broader question about the role that education, not just schooling, needs to play in our currently unfolding ecological and other crises. A big part of the challenge we face is that we're stuck in an old paradigm with institutional structures that control and define our lived experience and that were built for a world that no longer exists. This podcast provides a space to explore these fundamental questions. I'm excited to announce that the podcast also has a new home at Good Impact Labs. Jennifer Bahrami and I have been working together for the last 2 years on a global youth initiative and during that time we've seen the power of those who are building and creating. Which is why we've created Good Impact Labs to unleash possibilities and bridge, amplify, and connect amazing entrepreneurs and committed citizens who are no longer waiting for these broken formal institutions to be reformed. All over the world, they are designing and building their own local responses with relationships at their core. To us, these are the education ecosystems that our young people need and out of which new institutions will emerge.
