Ultimize. Before we begin, make sure you're walking in a safe place where you can remain aware of your surroundings. Keep your eyes open and stay mindful of where you're walking. This meditation is designed to work while you move, not while sitting still. Take a comfortable walking pace now. Notice the natural rhythms of your steps. Left foot, right foot, left foot, right foot. There's nothing special you need to do. Just walk and notice Let your breathing stay natural. You don't need to change it, just observe it. As you walk, notice the feeling of the ground under your feet. Each step connects you to the ground beneath you. Step, step, Step. Now bring a gentle awareness to your breathing. As you walk, notice the air moving in and out of your body. Breathing in, breathing out. Notice how your breathing naturally finds a rhythm with your steps. Walking and breathing. Moving and breathing. Now expand your awareness slightly. Notice the sounds around you. Perhaps distant traffic, birds, wind, voices, or just simple quiet. Just notice the sounds without judging them. Now bring your attention back to your steps again, the rhythm of walking. Left foot, right foot, left foot, right foot. Walking can become a moving meditation. Your mind does not need to race ahead. It can simply stay here with your steps. Step, step, step. If a thought appears, that's perfectly normal. Simply notice the thought and then gently return your attention to walking. Step, step, step. Now notice the temperature of the air on your skin, perhaps the warmth of sunlight or the coolness of shade. Just notice the sensation as you continue walking. Walking meditation is simple. You walk, you breathe, you notice. Nothing else is required. No perfect mindset, no perfect focus. Just walking and noticing. For the final moments of this walk, simply stay aware of 3 things: your steps, your breathing, and the world around you. Steps, breathing, awareness. Continue walking with this simple awareness for the next few moments. As this meditation comes to an end, continue your walk if you wish, or simply carry this awareness with you the rest of your day walking. Breathing. Noticing. Your mind has just experienced a simple reset.
