You cannot game the system for the long run. Yeah, you might hop in, make a million dollars today if you get really really lucky and then lose it all tomorrow. There is a foolproof way making a lot of money from the Internet. STEP 1 Never read any stock news. Never go to CNBC. Never go to the Wall Street Journal. STEP 2 Take 10% of your income every month starting at age 18 and invest it in a low cost index fund, a broad market index fund. They average about a 10% return a year. That's what I do. I also invest in index funds for information technology. They did 45% last year. I'm not giving you stock tips. What I can tell you is if you ignore the market, put 10% of your income into index funds, you'll do really well.
