An effective way to get what you want from others #shorts

TJ Walker explains how to get better treatment from others: manage your appearance intentionally. He wore a suit and tie early in his career to signal he deserved respect, and it worked.

It's horrible to be superficial. To judge a book by its cover, to make quick, snap judgments about people, their strengths, their abilities, their talents. But guess what? Human beings do it. You do it. I do it. A lot of it is subconscious. You need to realize that and have it work to your advantage. Do you look the way you want to look to get other people to treat you the way you want? Do you dress the way you should dress in order to get people to give you the respect you want and to give you the things you want? Early in my career, I went after a 100% corporate market. Even when I was really poor and didn't have two pennies to rub together, I wore a suit and tie. Not suggesting you need to wear a suit and tie, but you do need to give thought to exactly what you're wearing, how you look, so that it doesn't confuse people and they know how to treat you. Please follow the TJ Walker habit.
