TJ Walker (speaker) argues that Anthony Robbins' greatest success comes from long-form infomercials (30-minute TV commercials beginning in the 1980s) that changed large-scale behavior. Walker recommends adapting that advertising power for individuals by recording a personal "commercial" on a cell phone to self-motivate and prompt behavior change.

I want you to be like motivational speaker Anthony Robbins. I don't mean walking across burning coals or standing on stage in front of 10,000 people. I mean use his technique to motivate change in human behavior. Now it's not the three day seminars, I've been to those, they're great. But where Anthony Robbins has been more successful than anyone in the world is using the power of the infomercial 30 Minute TV commercials he started in the 1980s. They ran around the world for about 30 years and with that he was able to change the behavior of hundreds of millions of people by getting them to pick up the phone and call and give him money. Now I'm not criticizing Anthony Robbins. My point is it's the power of advertising. Now we can't all have a 30 minute TV commercial, but we can create a commercial just for ourselves on our own cell phone talking to ourselves. That's how you can be like Tony Robbins.
