A short excerpt from a June 2, 2024 YouTube video "Boring Speech? Do This" by TJ Walker. The speaker warns that being bland and boring makes you forgettable and harms career and investment prospects; he advises presenting ideas in ways that are interesting, compelling, and memorable while avoiding needless offensiveness.

If you are bland and boring, no one's going to remember you, no one's going to want to hire you, no one's going to want to invest in you. I'm not telling you to go out and be offensive needlessly when you speak, when you present. You have to present an idea to people that's interesting to them, that's compelling, that's memorable. Being bland is the worst thing you can do because then you don't have to be canceled. You're already forgotten.
