Do you want to be a pro? A real pro? Well, Steven Pressfield in the War of Art lists some things you've got to do. You've got to show up to work. You got to show up every day. You got to show up even when you're sick. You've got to show up even if you don't feel like it. And you got to show up for your whole workday doesn't mean eight hours. But if you write 2,000 words a day for three hours, then show up for those three hours every day, single day, you have to be willing to take money for it. This isn't just a hobby. You might not be motivated primarily by money, but you do have to take money for it. You don't have your entire identity tied up into your profession. It's important to you. But there's more to you than just the profession. You have to know the tools of your craft. You have to know the tool, what the best practitioners in your field are doing. Do all those things.
