Do you want to be inspirational? Well, you can't be inspirational unless you are inspired. And that raises the question, what is inspiring you? It's going to be very difficult to get inspired if all you do is consume pop culture, popular news websites, the things everybody else consumes. You've got to consume ideas in some format that are not just for the masses. You've got to find new, interesting ideas to inspire you to come up with ideas that will inspire others. For me, I do this primarily through reading. You might do it by listening to podcasts that don't necessarily have tens of millions of viewers. This afternoon on a holiday weekend I just finished reading before. It's all about the hidden DNA of Amazon, Apple, Facebook, and Google. It doesn't just glorify these people, but it does give a lot of good ideas. You've got to do something to inspire yourself.
