Alright, thanks so much for joining me today. We're gonna have a lot of fun Saturday morning it is Labor Day weekend here in the United States. Relaxing time and even get ready for archaeologist fun our activities I'm looking forward to as well this weekend but also taking up a little time to stay with you let's dive right into these top stories of day phones that gave away among us recording the year time Israel fall off one of those devastating tillage operations of the spring war we were run by bombers separately simple cell phones. Knowing they could be cracked the precise trait to running official air by hat phones ugliers bodyguards waiting outside oh yeah more advance allowing Israeli intelligence to map senior commanders and nuclear scientists as one from Orion's raj Seriously. And this is how most of them are tricked Israeli officials say their water campaign to operation Red operation operatives and advanced technology with phones proving the weakest thing okay, what's the real message here? Doesn't matter if you are in the middle of a war or you're going through a divorce. It's really easy for people to figure out exactly where you are at any point the cell phone reveals all you think makes me you're not fooling anyone. Okay so let's take a little leave here. We all like instant access cell phone access any idea in history of humankind that's nice. They are where are you? What are you up to? Who have you been talking to? It's all revealed and unless you are tempted to genius chances are it will help. The whole concept of privacy is nothing under erosion right now. There's no doubt about it. And we as human beings have to realize that we have to understand they're pressing on us everything and saying that we're only able to do whatever we want and get away with it. Not true. I'm holding this Greek smart ethical behavior if you behave adequately in heart because you're offended can call Maybe not as good as just acting ethically because you want to act Ethically but it's still better than doing things you shouldn't do so there are new non people under the age of 2130 have gotten used to this concept because they never really live with privacy but for those over 30 this is a relatively new concept so get way worse your cell phone is constantly sending out signals between towers during cell phone hours satellites anyone that takes at some point figure out your dad your location tell you where you are and we should know we all love that anyone I don't think fumbling around map being lost all the time but exposes patterns the BO you post show the GPS coordinates and if someone get you I hope you're not waging war or committing espionage but someone's at the at you they are going to find you it's friend family member a spouse, boss if they want to know where you are they're going to be able to figure out where you are and where you so use this sp ceremony I will say use this knowing a full how powerful for you and me is powerful for other people recently had a friend who served under injury in Manhattan and it would be easy job because not only could the det show you footage of the person actual kid crime there's rape murder there's burglary because it was bullied cell phones but the traders own cell phone showed that her own cell phone drove the marriage it's pretty easy to say yes okay so we want to be aware of this and perhaps it's one of the main reasons crime violent crime is going down to my killer crime these days in America Washington, Chicago, Louisiana. But what gives less attention 6 less is the idea that crime's been lower than has almost any one last year yes there was a slightly up to the end of it but in general Truman's been fantastic because they don't have for the last 30 years after this why that is one theory that's a lot of credibility among mainstream economists Simply the fact that numbers being weak on instincts they typically saw the primary plot sitting at an intention because we're here 18 year old boys who run unwanted households unwanted household and that one theory is crimes put aside but another theory everyone can be crime your own camera on your phone a million cameras everywhere security cell phones it's really difficult to get away with anything these days and it's frankly not worth the effort Old ash crime doesn't pay and never been truer than tech featured it brought to you by the following. Success library it's five of my most covering everything media interviewed actress Blessing missing all for only $9.95 15 presidents. Thanks for listening. If you liked this episode, you'll love by unrejainer okay, we are back. Thanks so much for joining on this Saturday. This is filtered with TA every business stories, technology stories and cultural stories. The single world and analyze it through the filter of communication and personal development deals all with the goal of helping you become more successful. Personal life and your professional life, it's a little bit different. It's not the same. Old dudes live the same way. It's not. Right. In story two when one word dives to soar embarrassment Court of Bloomberg Trump administration assures a federal appeal court to close any ruling against its loyal tariffs when treasury secretaries kept warned by dangerous diplomatic embarrassment. The filing also included Congress Secretary Howard Lutnick who said an adverse ruling of outstay with devastating and dire consequences and Secretary Stim Marco Rubio. Here's what matters. The word embarrassment wasn't just a rhetoric, it became the whole quote that echoed across coverage worldwide. Major outlets from India, Hong Kong, Middle east side, US Philippines and sinkers all lived to that line amplify the administration's attitude even as the legal fight intensifies. Most of the terrorists illegal left them in questioning the prohibitives keeping that embarrassment framed headlines while the case moves toward the Supreme Court. Okay, what's their own message here? If you are a public official or private sector official, use the word embarrassment or anything else you're going to quote it. Why is that? Because embarrassment is a sound like word. It has emotion. It's implied tact, it's action. And it also can give you the attention of reporters. That's why you see this is the quote everywhere about embarrassment of their tariff being unconstitutional. Horrible, horrible quote to use. And it makes them look like fools a little deeper. So yeah, it was the message of the administration but clearly wasn't the message you wanted that I guarantee you that if you ask the secretary treasury the do you want embarrassment to the only vote that you get around the world, I would say absolutely not. It's not what he's wanting. That is what this quote. So this is critical for policy officials, experts, CEOs to understand when you are quoted by the news media, you're saying that they want to hear it because of certain seed pattern. Now in my main business and there's a name here. Is that every single quote you see in the newspaper and online publication, every sound you see on radio or television customer speech paths is even an Adventist. It's how culture references, emotions example. It Is humor very tense speech patterns and they're interested absolutely no charge. One of the things that shuts people up is get in response to something they use. Emotional embarrassment is powerful emotion. It's imply attack I did something wrong and maybe do something wrong. They simply attack its action emotional state staking some movement. It's interesting. Reports are supposed to be visual object. I understand some art and symbol record are not supposed to talk about their own emotions. So when a policy official a newsmaker uses a word that contains strong powerful emotion it's going to be both. So it's not just satisfied. Therefore please embarrassment is it just an emotion A powerful emotion and that's why it was quoted. So this is part of what you can hear on this show is that tries to keep behind the scenes so you can understand the news more effectively. So that you can also affect the news. If you're in a situation where you are being quoted according to the original source of this story KM Bloomberg but is repeated in Tanzania New York Times money Bloomberg act who was amplified on the brush report. The memorandum of blogs like Wall street all pull this quote of embarrassment. And I pretty much guarantee that is not the quote that Trump administration wanted. Trump said would never admit his whole method of communicating with the media and the court and everything else is to attack, attack, attack. You're wrong, I'm right, good, bad. So this is one of his situations where the media can quote one is happening. We feel bad. That's the message. It's not what they were playing. That's not what they were hoping for. And it was a self affected error. This is media chain 101 get into the word embarrassment. Unless that is true 100% of what you want to say. You say an embarrassment from my opponent. You want to say it's an embarrassment for the courts or you're better than embarrassment for Congress then it might fit your message. It may when you're talking about your own embarrassment unless you really are feel like you really made a mistake. That's clearly not what happens here. The trumpet interest is certain that in the city that should never have terrorists. A little more background appeals said that basically all these terrorists that have dominated their headlines for the last six months they're all illegal now getting the minutiae. Constitution law is widely intended that Congress has the power to pass tariffs. The president wants to pass tariffs doesn't need to make the case in a form pro legislation to the United States Congress and it should pass by the Congress. But this is an application of congressional responsibilities say whatever president wants to do. He's the boss. He's paying. Essentially that's happened in the last eight months. So now we have court appeals saying this isn't what the founders ever intended and it's not what the United States Congress intended. Previous legislation it is permissible in emergency to pass temporary emergency legislation and ask him to terrorists. The president can't do that. But it's hard to the case that we in an emergency when there's an economy never been better. The economy's never been better. How can you plausibly face consent? We are in an emergency. It really can't be done. This turd is brought to you by the Following get the Keeper 6 I don't post anywhere else. This is advice fair little bit of you learn about top stories but also that deeper analysis of mutation perspective. What I really try to do is you and me to learn together based on what communities think about our own habits, our own practices and how we communicate effectively and be better at everything we do. Issue 3 Coexist According to Foreign Policy magazine researcher Adam Albums that modern AI often mirrors centralized top down power raising hard questions for democratic governance. He notes that large models have been subsumed in the age of struggle for political power and that frequently architectures that reflect the bureaucracy funding them. Focus 2018 warning that AI could be inherently been darkness using large centralization and computers that know more about you than you know about yourself but also said it is an alternative treat Als like a single genus in a box and by coordinating layer human knowledge. He states Henry Farrell's view of large language models as cultural technologies that help organize and share information. His benchmark to teach AI animal control by powerful cube to more like active meditative than deep. Okay, so what's the real message here? He don't believe in democracy and believe using AI often as I do. We have problem here folks because totalitarian regimes where they are fascists in nature where they are siring creators where they're communists. They are loving AI because giving them more control over populace giving Them more involved people think about look at folks and it gives them power to get people angry about things or their enemies. That's the real danger of AI. Can we exist democratically nations and AI to grow more powerful? Not yet. Let's dig a little deeper. So claim again is AI reinforces central top down control. We certainly see that in China and a lot of other countries. The large centralization of the government is aided by a large centralization of tech. You've seen personally in our own US stock market, which is really the world's top target. The concentration of power with Google, Facebook, Microsoft and a handful of other big tech companies. And so much of what you and I look at read every day here consumes all coming for a handful of big tech companies. And this is about so it does raise question for those who are concerned about and interested in during concept of democracy. What do we do about this rising power of AI? Because this is apparent came in 2016 where one political party, one candidate was able to really use the full power of Facebook to figure out what can they say to this person on Facebook so angry their head will slow and make them not vote for someone who really frankly is closer to their own ideological perspective, closer to their perspective on a whole sort of policy issues by just get that vote. I hate that and get angry and see red one two things can happen but for me or they will stay home. In any case it hurts that provincial candidate. That's it. I might be neutral here because it's not primarily political commentary, but if you follow politics all you can figure out what I'm talking about. So where did this all go? Where is this head? We don't know. You don't know. But we have seen in not just the United States, but Canada a lot of European nations around the world is that world's getting more polarized and strings are gaining more fraction. What this means is if you are a centrist, mainstream moderate conversation trying to reflect the will of the people in your country and trying to reflect the center site left center site right center partition intelligence I believe has really harmed you because it has empowered social media and has empowered far right extremists and occasional once in a while far left extremists to erode political support for you. People think you are the problem and convince me that you actually are extremists in your 19 centuries. So this is empowered extremists not just to the United States, but in European countries, South American countries to rise to power. You have this ability to target you, to use artificial intelligence to craft messages and know what your hot button if you are it is empowered markers to convince you to hate someone that normally might feel complete alignment with. This is a problem for democracy because if you convince people mainstream sexualists are a problem and you hate them, then some of you then vote for the for hearing extremists simply ends democracy. We are seeing signs of that all the time. Not seeing that much is all over the place if you annoy this kind of take. You want to hear more stories filtered through the lens of communication. Make sure you're following the show whether you're watching or listening to new episodes every single day. And there's a notification option where you are now go ahead and turn it on. It helps you save the loop. Surge is a 21 Democratic primary for support it's really rising quickly. According to an Emerson College polling survey release, 25% of Democratic primary voters holds state at 16% while former. Xavier J. Ritz each 10%. Nearly 16% of voters remain unsavid. Whole records across the graphics stating a 12 point rise on voters under 30 and an 18 point rise on those over 70. Though no candidate commands command majority support battles over increasingly public sparring doesn't social media okay, what's the advantage here? Too early Democratic nominee for president There is another election. As my advice to you, and this time that has to be two things. We're creating. We're creating long form video podcasts and we're creating short form content that can be used for short form all across social media. So let me do that again. Let's reel here. Governor Gavin is surging in the poll because he's doing a better job than any other Democrat getting attention. And one thing Donald Trump has shown us that the number one skill politician needs this day is the elite gets Eng in India And David Newson is really trolling Trump brilliantly and he's adding a real offense to this Jerry Mandarin attempt that as an Trump is effective. So that's why news in the middle up, up, up. Is it guaranteed beast to be 19? No. He's a chance to better than anyone else in point 25. Let's dig a little deeper here. Let's first look at conventionalism because think about conventionalism is it's fine to bash, it's fine to say it's always wrong. The problem is usually conventionalism and everyone does subscribe to him. By Tom Painting the conventionalism on gabinism is he will be a horrible presidential candidate simply because he's from California. And when you look at their Democrats have done well in the last 50 years really from Carter to Clinton Obama. But it's been southern candidates. It's been candidates to another part of New York or California not so called. So that's part of the. There's all the growth and countries in the South. So that's part of what we had. The other part is the people associate how far not with high taxes. It does have many times voters associate California with astronomical housing prices because it does have astronomical housing prices. They associated permanently built on the streets like in parts of Los Angeles and San Francisco and parts that are pretty bad. There's no doubt about it. That's why a candidate from California is just going to be too easily too easily painted with this do their bold extreme. If you look at this candidate you're going to see everything become less fertile in your own state and you're going to increase your taxes. This is certainly some different color to count and there is something to it. There really is something to it. So that's the conventional dismissal with the strong presidential candidate. And you know they have to party for someone in California using the strong presidential candidate. Now have to be careful about conventionalism because conventionalism were possible candidate for the Republicans to give 2016. He didn't have any of the traditional values that the party took the same New York City liberal, police Democrat place. So that's why you can't always fight the last battle. When you fight the last battle you miss what's going on at the moment. So Fred Argent to why he wouldn't be strong candidate. All he got is party support was not in line on social values was not in line on that he won. So that's why I don't think this is just a mere blip that Adam is doing the polls right now. He understands the importance of media and media attention. And it's different from how Democrats typically do things. Democrats typically media attention by doing polls passing things lawyers, political consultants, Republicans media consultants. That thing very carefully writing, rewriting it focus grouping it and then putting the message out there trying to show is that's not the way the world works in this modern era. It's far more effective for a candidate just constantly be saying interesting things. Constantly saying you believe what you're in favor of constantly be attacking trashing built on your own and that I believe that no one actor ris power and legitimately is a true genius generating media attention. I know dad genius at attracting media attention. But you see everywhere he says I don't have the nice seats see Every headline series. Being dest A co hosting his own podcast and B is someone who understands you have to get Last year he had previous years with Fearless about going on Fox dating on Santas. Now he's doing this whole bit where he's copying the same style about job on Twitter and social media using all caps using the same style. And I heard him say, why are you doing this? He says in order to show how absurd Trump is and how culture and media and normalize, you gotta put a mirror to it. That's what he's doing. And I don't know if everybody's been buried yet and said I think the strategy is brilliant in some way. Stephen Colbert was brilliant in mocking Bill O'Reilly with Colbert Report for years and years and years and ultimately he graduated from that to his own show with CBS late night show. So I think it worked for Colbert. I think clearly at the moment it's working for Dan Nissan. He's showing brave and showing humor. He's selling hats that say MAGA a America. Gavin. Gavin's his first name and I think it's hysterical. More important, he's getting under the skin of box newspapers, getting under the skin of the service. They're increasingly talking about how awful he is, how unhinged he's, how embarrassing he is. Where have I heard a conversation like that before? Oh yeah, I know. It's all the Democrats said about Trump when he was winning elections. So we know that this strategy and setbacks works for Trump. We don't know if it will necessarily work for Democrats. But what we do know is the pride and true standard method of Democrats for let's say do a group take a poll that thing with Admiral figure out first avoid podcast. We do know based on her sample size of Paul Harris campaign, Hillary Clinton's campaign and he's got merch. It's time to do something new, different and fresh. And Gavin Mixer, a lifetime politician, an establishment politician. He is showing Williams twill to try completely new thing. Kately embarrasses himself. He's okay with that. And I actually like the fact that Captain Newsom is not for it to embarrass himself using the imagery of trying to show himself looking muscular pink Zillow has on Gavin Newsom is doing that as well these days and a lot of people find it funny. A lot of people are talking about making himself the center of attention and I'm not ready to predict that is going to be the next president given some of the some of the daily habits of Trump and what we talking about was the economic propensity for these tactics of dictators who simply annoy elections cancel elections. I will predict whoever becomes president is really really good at capturing extinction. He is profoundly quick and good at getting attention on social media, mainstream media, social media and who scrolling on podcast interviewer who wants 23 hours at a time and can be interesting I am to make that prediction shows Pete BJ is 16% I like Pete Bidgej but when I see him on a talk show he's reading on my radar shows everywhere when I see the same speed I just say wow this is the second coming Bill Clinton. But what Peter Judge does it is a little bit different from Gavin is a little more conventional it's more traditional he is great at communicating clear thoughtful analysis clear thoughtful policy proposals clear thoughtful intelligent responses to questions Wow. I would love to see this guy Certainly by 2028 if there is an election so it may be that he's he is guilty of doing what all people think is good communication style but traditionalist is good communication style I'm not ready to write off people today fundamentals as I see them as important Ian bar era I think that abnum building constantly fighting constantly attacking being everywhere at all time being the center of attention and being creative and innovative in your attacks on the opposition I'm not seeing bidgets do that clicky skill communicator I would rule out anything when it comes to bullies but we'll stay normal we'll break after this break while I have tasks here you better eat a jet no crypto no don't for those elements go to digiwalker.com edtech Most people can afford full time coach even if you could do a lot more who available to need them that's why I created the tdwalka AI clone it built on my 3 plus years on rule of game machine you get my exact base style and framework instantly asset how handle depression give feedback and other rehearsal talk this is the next generation of mikishi coding get started more personal and always ready start using today @tjwalker AI don't drive it wanna absalom skilled specially care about communications and no you don't think ass crypto solomon sold shoe code if you have a struggle with nerves uncomfortable just not being taken seriously this is for you I created the ta work success libraries at hashcores in professional communication. So if you nice to see the show live, you can put your question comments right here and I'll be addressing you live right here. So let's dive right into your last story of the day. Why doesn't gdans that he ready but Trump keeps the spotlight Quote I kept the knowledge I'm praying and what I've gotten over the last 200 days in 1697 the presidency is based on Santa calling him broke, healthy and the first person became a last one night. But here's the context. Trump has never once said bans could or should be president. In fact, this RA doesn't tolerate anyone who overshadows him. Only President Heron capture then the top Trump Organization executive K Ra star for sharp critiques after season five they can't fire her and replace her with Staller Ivaga eventually phased out. True with Trump's sons filling his shared politics Canada and the past six months, Trump has seven times hinted at serving a third term or longer. So what's the real message here? If JD Vance saying strong is going to annoy him and okay his year's turn Betty he's delusional. He is fooling himself. Trump never ever ever gives power or proceed or anything to anybody else except maybe a failing of you that nothing. Let's go a little bit deeper here. Tell me this is almost comical that J.T. vance thinks he's going to be that pregnant Always hostile Of course President Trump had choked on his double scoop of ice cream by night. Actually he's known for he's the only one gets to ice cream in the White House. But that's nothing happening. I cannot imagine there's simply nothing in the history of General Trump will willingly power or proceed voluntarily to anyone else. In fact only regret from his first term is Olive so. Sam tiny little vault on every and I'm going to serve as my son's chief of staff and by the way my son likes to work from home in Florida so you actually seen in the White House or he could do whatever I would and see that room before any of us everything is legally and and whether he win wins with hey that's what really matter because trouble establishment of the control of gunnerships secretaries of state people who is going to be an open election where there will elections in D and in Russia and in Hungary and Donald Trump Jr. Will be officially president will never ever see his face in the White House the chief of staff so that's pretty you won't be president you're completely out so part of this show communications you have to listen and watch and judge people based on who they are pattern the pattern with Donald Trump is he does not shed the spotlight he does not give he does not handle his own people to add them the apprentices once one of his workers organization started gaining attention most people remember she was a blonde woman she started doing well in Pole let's give it to someone with name Trump same thing with Borg Ross president and spend time around George Ross figuring out whatever happened to that guy because that is why leave you fake you starting you're getting more needed than a boss your days are limited so learn to be the real baby man your best chance of being president probably go back England and get the locals angry stay at what should say the American media and get us hope for the classic world that would really be my advice if you want I BJ thank you for joining me day every single day in I the top stories of the day Please like the video comment subscribe Turn up notifications get ready for next week.
