TJ Walker suggests replacing your nightly email and sports score checks with reading a single passage or quote from a book like The Daily Stoic. This small habit builds your brain and sticks long-term.
Chapters
I realize some days are busy. Sometimes you're out socializing. You get home and you feel like you're gonna fall asleep in two minutes. What do most of us do then? We think, well, there's no time to read. Let me just have that one last check on email. Sports scores, the weather. No, you can still read. Read something from this book, for example, the Daily Stoic. Just read one quote from a stoic philosopher. You can do it in 30 seconds over time. Reading that last minute of the day is going to build your brain out. Looking at the sports scores, which you're going to see tomorrow, will not build out anything that's going to help you in the long run. Please follow the TJ Walker habit.
