The New York Times poses a question. Today is now the right time to start a new business in the middle of a pandemic? I say absolutely. There is no better time. So many of the greatest businesses of the world started during recessions or even depressions. I started my own business 20 years ago. In a recession, you have more time than ever to focus on your business. You have the possibility of reaching more people who are possibly looking for your service right now. A couple of caveats. Don't spend a lot of money. This is a time to minimize risk. Put your time in your effort, your creativity. Don't waste your time on silly things like logos and the right registration for all your legal forms. That is important later. But right now, focus on creating a service and finding a customer. If you can do that, you'll be time well spent.
