Kristi Noem's Hypocrisy Problem Just Got Worse

TJ Walker examines Kristi Noem's calls for compassion after her husband spent at least $25,000 on OnlyFans performers and adopted a "bimbofication" persona online. Walker traces a pattern of Republican hypocrisy: Larry Craig, David Vitter, and John Ensign all preached morality while their private lives contradicted it. Noem previously denied compassion to victims like Alex Petty and Virginia Good.

Ultimize. Let me start with a part of this story that honestly sounds like satire, but it isn't. Kristi Noem is asking the American public right now for compassion while multiple reports describe her husband putting on skin-tight outfits, stuffing balloons into his chest to simulate exaggerated breasts. Adopting a hypersexualized Barbie-style persona, and spending at least $25,000 on online performers to fuel that fantasy. And it's all been caught in photos and splashed out not only in the tabloids but the mainstream media. That's not vague. That's not subtle. That is incredibly specific. According to reporting from the Daily Beast, Brian Gnome used platforms like OnlyFans to interact with women connected to this so-called bimbofication world. Wasn't familiar with that, but you learn new stuff every day. This is where participants intentionally exaggerate their appearance into doll-like, over-the-top, sexualized caricature. I'm going to spare you the gruesome pictures right here. So if you're listening on our podcast, don't worry, you're not missing anything. You'll have to Google search that elsewhere. Now, he admitted on a phone call that he met women on the platform and engaged with them while sending money, with reports indicating at least $25,000 in payments. Now, pause. None of that's illegal. None of that automatically makes someone a villain. People have private lives. People have strange hobbies. Some people don't appreciate that I like to play pickleball. They think that's weird. Okay. People do things that would make the rest of us say, okay, that's not for me. Fine. But here's the issue. It becomes everyone's business when your entire political brand is built on judging other people's lives. This is why this story hits so hard. It's not the balloons, it's not the outfits, it's not the online fantasy life. It's the hypocrisy sitting on top of it like a neon sign. This is a political movement, the modern MAGA movement that Kristi Noem is a part of, that has spent years telling Americans that the biggest threat to the country is other people's lifestyles, other people's identities, other people's personal choices. And now the headline is coming from inside their own house, and suddenly the message is, "Let's all be compassionate." That's not a small contradiction. That's a complete collapse of the message. Because let's actually visualize this. We're talking about a man putting on tight body-fitting clothing, creating exaggerated physical features with balloons and They were tied in just such a way to appear as nipples. He's posing, he's engaging online and paying to live out a completely different persona. And very tight little pink shorts he had on too in these pictures. And if you're thinking, oh, that's just AI photos, they haven't even tried to deny that these were AI-doctored photos. But this is happening inside a political household that has spent years attacking those kinds of expressions when they show up elsewhere in society. You could not script a more perfect contradiction if you tried. This is like opening a vegan restaurant and secretly running a steakhouse in the basement. And now suddenly we're all supposed to be sensitive. Now we're supposed to say, let's not judge. Where's that tone been? Where's that energy been for everyone else who's been on the receiving end of the MAGA-style politics from Kristi Noem? Because this isn't new. This is a part of a long, very well-documented pattern. And I'm sorry, folks, it's not all politicians do this. It's not both sides are guilty. We're not going to play both-side-isms here. This is even before MAGA. This has been a Republican conservative issue. Republican Party conservative politicians have been hypocrites judging others, their lifestyle, and then flagrantly violating their own sense of what a good American who's a straight, white, Christian, heterosexual family man is supposed to be, or family woman. Let's look at Larry Craig, Republican senator. Remember this guy? Public advocate of conservative family values. Well, he pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct after being arrested in an undercover sting targeting lewd conduct in an airport restroom. In case you don't remember, he would go into a men's bathroom stall at an airport, spread his legs, tap his feet under his stall to try to have anonymous homosexual activity in a bathroom stall. Now, again, I'm not criticizing homosexuality. What I'm criticizing is Conservative Republicans saying vote for us because the other party is promoting lifestyles that deviate from standard traditional nuclear family Christianity. That's the part that's a problem. Okay, let's look at another case. Republican Senator David Vitter, strong social conservative. He acknowledged his phone number appeared in the records of the so-called DC Madam Prostitution Ring. And publicly called it a serious sin. John Ensign, Republican senator, rising conservative star, he had to resign after admitting to an affair with a campaign staffer amid a Senate ethics investigation involving payments made to the woman's family. These aren't rumors. These are documented cases reported by major news organizations at the time. And the pattern's always the same. Very loud moralizing. Look how moral I am and my party is and how degenerate this other party is, followed by very messy private reality. People are not shocked by behavior anymore. Nobody's sitting there saying, "I can't believe a human being did something strange." What shocks people is the contradiction. It's the gap. When someone spends years telling you they are the guardian of traditional morality, the defender of values, the person who will protect society from everyone else's supposed decline, and then their own situation looks like this, the gap turns into ridicule instantly and deservedly because credibility doesn't fade, it collapses. And now comes the request for compassion from the same political ecosystem that has built an entire campaign on outrage. This is the movement that has turned judgment into entertainment, into fundraising, into a strategy, and now they want to opt out? Now they want empathy. No, that's not how this works. You don't get to train millions of people to react with outrage and then be surprised when they react with outrage. The machine is working exactly as designed. That's the uncomfortable truth. The outrage machine that has been built for years through speeches, media appearances, and nonstop cultural panic is doing its job perfectly. It takes a personal story, amplifies it, turns it into a spectacle, and feeds it to an audience conditioned to judge. The only difference this time is who the spotlight is on. Same system, same reaction, different target. And that's why this story matters beyond the tabloid details, because it exposes something fundamental about communication. If you define yourself as the judge of others, you You don't get to be surprised when the judgment comes back your way. That's not cruelty, that's consistency. And the far bigger problem with Noem is this is the woman, you know, she's asking for compassion for her family now. Where was this compassion when she was slandering and defaming Alex Petty? And Virginia Good. Innocent American, law-abiding, middle-class Americans shot, killed in cold blood just because they appeared to be on the wrong team, just because they did not appear to be MAGA supporters. Does she show compassion for them? No, she defamed them. She called them terrorists, essentially. She implied they had it coming. She lied, lied, lied because she did not want any compassion going to someone murdered in cold blood through her actions, through people, her henchmen acting on her behalf. And that's what's so utterly despicable about this. So, so yes, fortunately or unfortunately, she's not in office anymore. She was given the boot last month. So this can't be the thing that gets her booted because she's already been booted. But let's take a moment to savor this woman's further downfall and humiliation because, look, I don't like to humiliate human beings. I like to show dignity, give people the benefit of the doubt. From time to time, but when you do anything for power, including murdering Americans in cold blood, which is essentially what these ICE officials did in, in not just Minneapolis but other places, you deserve no sympathy at all. Ultimatize.
