Leaked Epstein Emails Just Backfired on Trump | GOP Panic Mode

Trump, Epstein, and cracks in the gop. President Trump is trying hard, and I mean really hard, to make Jeffrey Epstein a Democratic scandal. And in the process, he may be making his own problems much worse. After Democrats released emails suggesting Trump's knowledge of Epstein's sex trafficking operation was deeper than previously known, Trump ordered the Justice Department, formerly known as the U.S. justice Department, now known as the Trump Justice Department, to investigate only Democrats and JP Morgan, not himself. He singled out Bill Clinton, Larry Summers, and Reid Hoff, even though there's no credible evidence they were involved in Epstein's crimes and all have denied wrongdoing, they did all know him and had had interactions with him. So this is a quote from Trump. Epstein was a Democrat, and he is the Democrats problem, not the Republicans problem. They all know about him. Don't waste your time with Trump. I have a country to run. He didn't just blurt this out in response to a question. He wrote it down on social media. So there was fought there. It was an active decision to put that message out. Attorney General Pam Bondi then reversed an earlier Department of Justice conclusion that the Epstein files didn't justify new cases, quickly launched a new probe, a move critics say shreds Justice Department independence and may help keep more Epstein material secret. Politically, this is starting to boomerang. Trump just dumped Marjorie Taylor Greene, one of his loudest allies. She's the one who said for years, I love Donald Trump. I'm on Team Trump. I love him more than anything. They had a falling out. She's now accusing him of trying harder bury those records, the Epstein record, than to help struggling Americans. Add in nervous Republicans already uneasy about his handling of the Epstein mess. And the risk is clear. This isn't just another partisan fight. It's a scandal that cracked Trump's base. Okay, so what's the real message here? This Epstein drip, drip, drip now is turning into a waterfall. It's one thing when liberal Democrats say, oh, there's something, but Marjorie Taylor Greene says, I care more about uncovering what happened with Epstein and Trump than I do about being a Trump fanboy, fan girl. When that happens, Trump is in trouble. Okay, let's go a little deeper here. This is. There's a lot to chew on. So this quote that Trump put out really does jump out at me. Because let's. Let's be fair. I'm here not as a partisan, but I'm here as a sane, sensible centrist analyzing the news through the lens of communication skills, personal development skills. And I will tell you, even if I Don't agree with him all the time. Trump is a world class communicator. He is skilled at attacking, he's skilled at defending himself, he's skilled at counter attacking, he's skilled at changing the narrative. And this is not like him. This quote of Epstein was a Democrat and he's the Democrat's problem. Nobody believes that now he may have been a registered Democrat. Does anyone care who Jared, the pedophile from Subway. Does anyone really care about what political party he was a member of? It's not point. And to say he's the Democrats problem, not the Republicans problem, that's just boggles the mind with the stupidity of that. He's the President of the United States. There are more than a thousand references to Trump in Epstein's emails. Epstein is saying, hey, Trump knew about the girls in writing. Trump is saying, yeah, Trump spent time with this girl alone for a few hours today. Trump's over at the pool and so obsessed, checking out the girls who are half naked, running around. He walked into a glass. This is a problem for anybody who is described that way. And it's not a Democratic president at the moment, it is Donald Trump. So the idea that you could just say it's a Democratic problem is laughable because I do want to give Trump credit. When he does make attacks, when he does change the direction of a story, a news cycle, there's usually some real cleverness there. There's something where you think, well, he's got a point there, even if you don't agree with it or hey, he's right. This is more interesting over here. This is interesting only because it's so laughable. It's just utterly laughable to suggest that Epstein is a, is a Democrat and therefore he's a Democrat problem. And you're wasting your time talking about Trump with it. This is just truly, truly bizarre. And it gets more bizarre every day. Now, I want to be fair. One of the emails released by the Democrats was of Epstein saying that Trump had spent time alone at the house with this young girl and the name was redacted. Well, the name was Virginia Giuffre, who has specifically said while she did have sex with a number of other famous prominent people, she didn't with Donald Trump and he never did anything inappropriate to her. So we had this very weird situation where all the Republicans and the White House are saying, pay no attention to anything coming out from any of these emails. Anything. Oh, but pay attention to this one thing because factually it contradicts something else and it makes us look good. So pay attention to the one tidbit that is in some way making us look better. But don't look at the 10,000 other emails that paint us in an extraordinarily unflattering light. That's just a hard, that's a hard needle to thread. And he's trying to do that. Do I have proof that Donald Trump is a pedophile? No, I do not. Do I have proof that he slept with underage girls or had had illegal sexual contact with 17 year olds, would have been illegal in both Florida or on Este Island? No, I do not have proof of that. But if he were guilty, it's hard to imagine him acting guiltier than he is now. It's hard to imagine someone who was guilty of those crimes working any harder to try to change the subject, to try to deflect criticism. Does that make him guilty? No. But remember, you and I are judges. We are not juries in a court of law. We are empowered to make our own decisions, thoughts and judgments based on everything we've experienced our whole life. And I've just, I've never experienced anyone who has acted guiltier about something crime than what we're seeing here coming out of this White House. Now, here's the other bizarre thing. So the process. And again, this is very clever on Trump's part. You got to give it to him by saying, I now demand an investigation of Democrats. He's opening up the investigation at the Department of Justice. So in theory, if the House next week does vote, in fact to release all documents in the pass of the Senate, Trump could say, well, you know, I got to veto that because it's an active investigation and that might taint the investigation. And that would be, that would in fact be a normal procedure at some level, although nothing about this is in any way normal. We haven't had other presidents say, I'm being accused of horrible crimes, don't investigate me, don't look at anything. Just investigate Democrats because they're other party and that counts. That has just never happened before. Yes, Nixon has, has tried some dirty tricks, but never anything just blatantly out frontline.
