One summer when I was in college, I was a Kirby vacuum cleaner salesman. I had a lot of public speaking skills, confidence. I was articulate. What could go wrong? Well, it turns out I couldn't sell a single vacuum cleaner. Why? I didn't care about vacuum cleaners. If you want to be good at selling something, you need to believe in it. You need to have some passion for it, because if you don't care, nobody else will.
