Chapters

Should you rehearse your next speech or presentation using a mirror? Should I practice my speech? Uh oh, is there a divot in my nose? Is my hairline receding more? That's the problem with using a mirror to practice a presentation. It's too distracting. It's human nature to start focusing on things you don't like about your own face. Far better off to practice with something that's equally as cheap. Meaning it's free. Your cell phone. Record yourself on video or use a webcam. Record yourself giving the presentation. Don't think about anything else. Then you can hit play. Critique it. Figure out what to do better or what to change. That way you can leave the mirror for the primping.
