TJ Walker delivers a short success-habit tip advising viewers to "know your bandwidth": recognize personal limits and avoid imitating extreme work habits of others. He recounts overextending himself (live show, podcast, website redesign) which harmed his core business of creating online training videos, and advises focusing on what you do best first, then expanding later.

Success habit. Tip of the day Know your bandwidth. It's very easy to read about business icons like Bill Gates who worked seven years in a row and only took five vacation days and say I want to be like that. It's easy to get pumped up watching a Gary Vaynerchuk video where he makes 189 different pieces of content and post it on a thousand social media platforms by 6am each day. He here's the problem. You and I probably aren't wired like that. We don't have the mental bandwidth to take on that many projects. Recently I was guilty of making this mistake. I was trying to do a live show two hours a day and start a podcast and redo a website. Meanwhile, my core business of making online training videos and courses suffered. I've retrenched. I'm focusing on what I'm best at. Focus. Then I can build out the others. Focus on the bandwidth you have to make the best of it.
