TJ Walker argues that learning to say the word "no" is essential for achieving and protecting work–life balance. He gives examples from personal favors (neighbors, family) and workplace dynamics (becoming the person who always says yes and becomes the dumping ground) and advises being selectively selfish to avoid burnout and preserve priorities.
