So Donald Trump, surprise, surprise, isn't running for president. Well, I'm shocked, shocked. Like Claude Raines in Casablanca, this guy was never going to run for president. First of all, his chances of getting the Republican nomination, about as good as Al Sharpton's chance of getting him. And here's a guy who was pro choice his whole life till about five minutes ago. Once the pro family values nomination, and he has all these multiple wives, he could never withstand the scrutiny of an actual presidential campaign. Imagine this guy letting his finances open to the public. The last time anyone seriously looked at his finances, it was by the New York Times, one of their authors who wrote the book Trump Nation. And it was devastating, showing all the areas where he fibs, fabricates, obfuscates and does funny business. A book I would highly recommend if you can find it. Trump and his bullies have pushed that aside. But anyway, the big news here is, unfortunately, you can lie to the media and get away with it. Everyone in pr, everyone in my business, media training business, says don't lie to the media. I don't recommend that you lie to the media. But Donald Trump shows that if you lie and lie often enough and tell big enough lies, not only will the media not punish you, they will in fact reward you. They'll give you your own show and give you tens of millions of dollars, as NBC has given to Donald Trump. But come on, he doesn't know what the stripes on the flag stand for. He basically never votes in Republican primaries and he was going to be a presidential candidate. Not plausible at all. And I'll tell you, this is a real stain on America's political media establishment. I can understand why Entertainment Tonight and TMZ wanted to cover him this phony political campaign, but when every major political reporter, the so called serious reporters and pundits gave him coverage, they ought to be ashamed of themselves. I mean, Donald Trump as a presidential candidate is about as credible as Jimmy McMillan. The rent's too damn high candidate. It's fun for a little joke for five minutes, but it is not. So what's the big lesson here? Apparently you can fool most of the people all the time if you're Donald Trump. But then he's taken his ball and gone home. It's a sad day for the political media. It's a good day for voters of America. I'm T.J. walker.
