Melissa Harris Perry of MSNBC had the Attorney General of the United States on her program this past weekend, and she asked him if he would get this Quack like a duck. Now, folks, this is bizarre. I'm not someone who is necessarily pro or against Melissa Harris Berry on msnbc. I haven't watched her much in the last couple of years, but apparently she's a big fan of the Attorney General of the United States, Eric Holder. And on her show they refer to him as the duck, meaning unflappable, I guess, can face rain adversity and be calm upwards. And while you're pedaling, underneath goes the analogy. But she asked him if he would quack like a duck on her program. Now, Megyn Kelly of Fox News heard about this and said, this is ridiculous. This is embarrassing. In this particular case, I'm going to decide with Megyn Kelly over Melissa Harris Perry because it's just weird to ask anybody, a grown man or woman, to quack like a duck on tv, especially someone who is the Attorney General of the United States. Now, here's the media training lesson. There are times if you're a public official, executive company, where a reporter, a TV producer may ask you to do something and you're not comfortable doing it. My advice, don't do it just because a TV reporter asks you to do something. Don't do it if they're doing some story about you being a drunk and they ask you to hold up a drink and toast them. You don't have to do that. It is your job if you're a public official or an executive at a company that asks you to speak on their behalf, to answer questions, to look comfortable, confident, relaxed, to present your information. But by no means do you have to do anything that is embarrassing. You don't have to put on hats, and you certainly don't have to quack like a duck.
