So Hurricane Irene is over. How did Governor Chris Christie do during this crisis? I give him an A. He was forceful. He was there. He wasn't vacationing on Disney World. He hit the right tone. He was forceful and said, get the hell off the beach. You have enough tan when he needed to be. He was compassionate. He was omnipresent. I couldn't turn on my TV without seeing him on every single channel here in the New York City area. He was also on national TV a great deal. So he mobilized the forces. He used appropriate force. He did everything he could to evacuate people. These are, in fact, some of the worst floods, if not the worst floods ever for his state of New Jersey. And he did exactly what he needed to do. This was a test of political leadership. He passes with flying colors. I'm TJ Walker for the Daily National.
