A short excerpt from a TJ Walker live-stream in which he uses a personal anecdote (walking out of the Jacob Javits Center after a tech conference) to make a presentation coaching point: when editing material, prioritize keeping stories over additional facts or data because audiences rarely complain about hearing too many relevant stories.

I was walking out of the Jacob Javits Center. It's this huge convention center over on the west side of Manhattan. The other day there was a huge high tech conference, and I couldn't help but overhear two of the other people in attendance talking to each other. And one of them said, I hated the way that last speaker gave so many interesting, relevant stories about what's going on in our industry. Okay, I'm being facetious. I didn't hear that. In fact, nobody has ever heard that. Nobody ever complains about a speaker giving too many interesting, relevant stories. So when you got to decide what to cut, more facts, more data, or more stories, don't cut the stories.
