So why should someone care about being a better public speaker? What does it really matter? There are plenty of people who have careers. You may be a writer or something else where you don't have to speak in public. Here's the thing. If you get to the point of actually speaking effectively, it feels good. There's just something about being a human being where the act of standing up, saying what's on your mind, saying what you think is important, that other people need to hear, doesn't matter if it's how to cook an omelette better. Who to vote for on Tuesday, where a stop sign should go up in your town, the act of standing up, speaking to people, and knowing that you're coming across with confidence, clarity, that people are understanding you and remembering you, it just feels good. It's not necessarily about money. It's not necessarily about power. It's about being a human being. So for no other reason, that's why I think you should take these skills seriously. I'm TJ Walker. I help people speak more effectively. If you would like to improve your public speaking skills, presentation skills or media skills, I've got online courses available, public workshops and private one on one and group trainings. If you'd like more information on those, please go to the website below or give me a call.
