How do you help your teenager become a better public speaker? Many of you have heard me in the past say, always encourage your kid to practice a show until younger kids, kids in pre K, kindergarten, first grade, you can ask them to stand up and speak to you and record it on their cell phone. But let's face it, when kids get to be teenagers, they might not want to do that in front of mom or dad. What I would recommend is try to get them to practice with some other friend, appear someone in their class, preferably in person, but they could be doing it through Skype or WeChat or some other online connection. The whole key is they need to practice a book report, practice a school presentation in front of another student, and to record it and look at it. It doesn't have to be you you've covered if you've done your job early ages. But as teenagers, as long as they're practicing in front of someone, they'll go into that actual speech or presentation with a much higher degree of confidence and they'll frankly be better. I'm TJ Walker. I help people speak more effectively. If you would like to be a better speaker, a better presenter, or help your kids be better, I've got online courses for you. Public workshops every month in New York City plus plus private trainings. If you'd like help with this, give me a call or go to the website. Thanks. Info is below.
