Go for a walk in the woods, preferably by yourself, and just think about a couple of things. Number one, what is it I want my audience to really do after hearing me speak? Number two, what are the big ideas? What are the most important messages that I really think are important for me to convey on this topic? What ideas are going to be interesting and relevant and useful to my audience that will actually motivate them to do what I want? Go for that long walk now before you ever type the first letter.
