So what do you do when you are attacked specifically for your politics? These days of hyper politicization, you never know when someone could be wildly offensive. If you merely suggest the preference of somebody you might have voted for, and if you have an active presence on social media, whether it's Twitter, whether it's YouTube, Facebook, if you talk about politics at all, there's a good chance you're going to have people, especially strangers, hate you, vilify you, call you a monster, wish upon you bodily harm. How do you deal with that criticism? I've got a couple of different strategies for you. Here are three main tips though. Number one, if you are not hugely famous and a part of a big institution, you're not a president or a governor or CEO of a Fortune 500 company. My advice? If someone is just angry with you because you supported a different politician, I don't even read the comment or email further than the point where I see direct overt criticism that appears to be entirely politically based. So if someone starts off tj, you big fat moron because you like so and so, if that's in the title, I just don't read it. All it does is depress you and get you annoyed. So that's the first big tip. Just ignore it. Number two, if you are a part of a huge big corporation or entity and it's going to cause a scandal, if you're deleting things off your Facebook page, then my recommendation just leave it alone. Don't kick the can, don't respond to it, just leave it there. Don't look at it. Number three, if there's something that is overtly obscene, threats of violence, then in either case, whether you're a big organization or a small individual, just hit delete and ban the person. Life is too short to try to persuade someone who's unpersuadable.
