What is the number one way, the easiest way to start speaking out to audiences around the world about your expertise? One of the things my clients ask me all the time is tj, I'd like to do more public speaking. I believe I have a good message. It could be a solo practitioner who wants to make money from speaking. It could be a CEO of a multi billion dollar market company who simply wants to share his or her expertise on being an entrepreneur and being successful. There are a lot of different motives. Here's the problem. The old fashioned technique of getting a speaker bureau to represent you, talk to a meeting planner and get you hired to speak at a big convention of 5,000 people and pay you a big check. It's really hard to crack that nut. It can take years. There's so many things that can stop that. There is another way. There is a faster way, and that way is to start speaking online with your own online course. Now I have a course on how to do this, but I don't even want to talk about that. Today I try to boost my credibility in part by putting a spotlight on the very best information that I think will help my clients and you. So I want to recommend to you an online course on the platform udemy.com and it's taught by Alan Hill. This is a guy. The title, you might not like the title, but it's how to make a thousand dollars a day teaching on Udemy. Your goal might not be to necessarily make $1,000 a day, although that's not a bad thing. But what he does is really walk you through, step by step, everything you need to do to create an online course and reach hundreds of thousands of students. And not just some YouTube clip where you're saying something funny and they watch for 20 seconds and it counts as a view. I'm talking about really helping someone, walking them through systematically, lecture after lecture, cumulatively hours to change their lives. Because I do know a lot of you have expertise. You have things you've been doing passionately, where you've helped people in your community, in your city, in your nation. You want to help a larger audience. I do believe that Alan Hill's course can really help you. And folks, I'm not getting a commission. I'm not an affiliate. I paid for my course. And he's not a friend of mine. I've never even talked to him. But Alan Hale, I believe, is world class in how he breaks down this information step by step, showing you how to create a course, how to market a course. Because what good is it if you've created a bunch of videos of yourself and no one can see it. How to make money for your course. Now, again, that might not be your primary objective, but hey, if money isn't what you're about, then give that money away to your favorite charity or use that money to promote your course in more and more places. So I'm urging you, if you have any expertise, regardless of who you are, it could be a hobby, could be your main business practice. I really want you to think about how to share that with the rest of the world. And if the phone isn't ringing off the hook of trade associations and major conventions calling you to give a keynote speech, this can be the next best thing. In fact, it can actually be superior because you can do it on your own time. You can actually reach a lot more people cumulatively each month who watch your online courses than if you had to fly halfway across the world to give a speech in front of 900 people. And there's certainly nothing preventing you from both. In fact, the more you build your reputation as an online speaker, it can only help you get more offline real world presentation opportunities.
