A brief on-location commentary by T.J. Walker arguing that governments choose how much media freedom to allow and that suppressing free speech can lead citizens to express themselves through destructive public acts. He points to a burned-out government building near Tahrir Square in Cairo as a visual symbol of suppressed communication and its consequences.

Chapters

Every government has to decide how much freedom it's going to allow its citizens to have to communicate through the media. Publicly speaking anywhere, there are consequences if you try to stop people from communicating. Here I am, you can see this burnt out building. I'm in the middle of Cairo. This is Tahrir Square right next to it. This is the government building. This is representative of Mubarak. Here it is, almost four years later, it's still a burned out shell. That is the ultimate form of communication. If citizens can't speak out on the media freely anyplace else, they'll eventually speak out this way. I'm T.J. walker.
