Do you remember Susan Olson? She was Cindy from the Brady Bunch. Well, she's now on the national in the national spotlight for making homophobic rants. She's apparently a talk radio host in California, had on a gay actor afterwards, got very angry with him and sent him private messages filled with homophobic slurs. Well, guess what, folks, if you're typing something and sending it to somebody, especially if it's somebody you're in a fight with, it's not private. There's no such thing as private. To me, this is very reminiscent from Michael Richards of Seinfeld fame, who had been out of the spotlight for a decade or so, then starts using the N word on stage in a comedy club and essentially becomes a pariah in Hollywood. Now, Susan Olsen has not been a top tier, grade A Hollywood talent in a long, long time, but this, I think, seals her fate. It's going to be extraordinarily unlikely for anyone to hire her again hosting a program because there's just no market for open bigotry using the F word when talking about homosexuals. Here's the rule. The real lesson here, folks. There is no such as private communication. If you're angry and you want to send somebody a nasty message, make sure you're not sending anything that you wouldn't want to see the top headlines of the Dredge Report or the Huffington Post. Otherwise you can kiss your career goodbye.
