Is it possible to be good in public speaking overnight? In my experience instructing people on public speaking for more than 30 years, the answer is yes. You absolutely can be good if you're willing to do a couple of things. For starters, you need to throw out your old ideas of what makes a proper speech. This idea of walking up to people, good morning, I'm happy to be here. My name is. You got to get rid of that. Instead, you just have to say something interesting to your audience. Do you do that? You'll be a great public speaker. The easiest thing to do is just sit down, figure out what are you trying to communicate to this audience, what do you want them to do? Come up with a handful of ideas, a story for each one, and then practice on video. And until you like what you see, you can do that in less than a night. You can typically do that in a couple of hours.
