A short live-stream segment by T.J. Walker arguing that public speaking is a critical skill for influential leaders and successful people. Walker contrasts successful non-speakers with well-known great speakers (e.g., Steve Jobs, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, Warren Buffett), then offers his services—courses, workshops, and private training—to help people improve.

Why are so many political leaders and business leaders around the world poor public speakers? The question I get from people sometimes, why should I really focus on this? Because so and so this political leader is awful and they're successful. Or this person, you know, Bill Gates in his early years was a horrible public speaker. He still became a billionaire. Why does it matter? Well, I would suggest that these people became really successful not because they were poor, but because public speakers. But in spite of it. Now a lot of people are very successful, even though they were dyslexic. Jay Leno, dyslexic. Richard Branson, dyslexic. Does that mean you'd want to go out of your way to be dyslexic? Would you want your child to be dyslexic? No. Makes it 10 times harder to read, to learn. Everything is more difficult. So, yes, of course there are successful people who are not great speakers. Look at all the people who are wildly successful who are great speakers. Steve Jobs, fantastic speaker. Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, great public speakers. World of finance. Warren Buffett, great speaker. Industry after industry. When you look at the people who really have the most influence, I believe you will find people who are great speakers. So why not aspire to to that? I'm T.J. walker. I help people speak their best. If you'd like to improve, give me a call.
