TJ WALKER - THE HABIT INFLUENCER - Personal Development | LIVE STREAM

TJ Walker argues public speaking is learned, not born. He uses a Harvard recording of young JFK stammering and using filler words to prove even great speakers started rough. Walker coaches people to improve through practice.

I can make you be a public speaker as good as John F. Kennedy, one of the most renowned orators of the 20th century. Now, how can I say that? Well, what I need you to do is to listen to Kennedy speak when he was in college. Now, he wasn't a child, he wasn't in first grade. This is by legal definitions a man. You can hear audio. I'm a link to it below. This recently was released from Harvard University, where they somehow had miraculously recordings of him in a class where he was giving a presentation. And what you detect when listening to this is nothing impressive at all. Some stammers, some ums and uhs, completely ordinary. So the real lesson here is nobody's a born natural speaker. It's a learned skill. Everybody pretty much starts off the same bad. And if you want to be better, you can't just tell yourself, I'm not a natural born speaker because nobody's a natural born speaker. You get better by doing it more, practicing and getting help. I'm TJ Walker. I help people speak because how you present your ideas is often the number one factor in your success.
