Are you looking for topics for your YouTube videos? Your Facebook videos? Well, here's a tip for you. Go to your competitors YouTube pages and Facebook pages. Now I'm not suggesting you blatantly rip them off or steal their titles, but as a source of ideas, it can be useful. Let's face it, there are very few ideas that are 100% original, just came from nowhere. All ideas are combinations and bits and pieces and blendings of things together. I do look at my competitors websites from time to time. Their blogs, their YouTube videos, their Facebook videos. I don't frankly watch a whole video all the way through, but I may watch 20, 30 seconds I'll look at a title and quite often it will inspire me to do something not exactly the same, but at least similar. Or to be frank with you, sometimes I'll hear them give advice and I think it's just such horrible advice to a particular issue like fear of public speaking. It'll motivate me to do a whole new video debunking what I think is bad conventional wisdom and bad training information out there. So don't think of it. No one is an island. No one is just so brilliant and creative that everything just comes in their head from scratch, from nowhere. We are all a reflection of different influences. So one great source of information. What are your competitors doing? It's all there, open to the public on their YouTube page, their Facebook page, their blog. I'm TJ Walker. I teach people how to speak more effectively. If you want to improve your own public speaking or media skills, go to my website, mediatrainingworldwide.com and download a couple of my books at absolutely no charge.
