Chapters
So how do you create a successful YouTube channel?
For starters, you have to define success on your own terms. Not everyone can be a Justin Bieber or a comedian that's got 50 billion views.
You got to figure out exactly what your objectives are.
So, for example, my goal with my.
YouTube channel is to complement my professional training business.
So I'm not looking for billions of views.
What I'm looking for are things that enhance my credibility. So when someone wants to hire me for a day, they feel comfortable doing.
So and I get more leads and.
I close with more prospects because of the content there. So those are my goals.
I'm not trying to make billions of.
Dollars off of advertising revenue.
I'm not trying to get a Hollywood deal. So over the years with several channels I've had, I've had in excess of 4 million views.
One you're watching on now, if you're not watching on Facebook, has more than.
A half million views.
Again, not impressive by the standards of comedians and entertainers.
But in my niche, it is very much on the high end and I'm.
Happy with the results I'm getting.
Here are things you need to think.
About when it comes to your own channel.
What are you really trying to do?
Figure that out first. Then what is your content going to be? Since I teach people how to speak, I just speak so I don't put.
A lot of emphasis and time on post production, editing, graphics and music. If you are doing an entertainment show, you may have to do all of those things.
Next, what is your editorial calendar?
How often are you going to put it out?
Don't put five. One day and nothing for two months.
I try to put out one new.
Video a day, every day, seven days a week. It's steady, it's regular. My regular viewers can see it.
Those who want to dip in and.
Dip out once a month know there's always something new. So my biggest recommendation, Figure out your goals in advance. And maybe it's just to have fun.
Then do something regularly in a format.
That fits with what you're doing.
I'm TJ Walker.
