TJ Walker pitches organizations on speaking via Facebook Live instead of in person. He says it's a win-win: they get a speaker without travel costs, he reaches more people without leaving his studio.

How would you like to become famous within your niche for your subject matter in front of the people who really care about what it is you do? Well, I've got an offer for you, and it's an offer too good to be true, or seemingly it's an offer you can't pass up, you can't refuse. But not because I'm going to coerce you or threaten you with any violence. It's just because it is a value proposition is overwhelming. I do it with my own business and I want to teach you how to do it as well. Here's what I do. I offer to speak to organizations all over the world at no cost. Here's the catch. I speak to you through Facebook Live. I do it on my own page. And then for any organization that wants me, they simply share it and I address their audience when I'm speaking. They're going to promote the event. I take questions directly from that Facebook audience. Everybody wins. I get in front of thousands. Tens of thousands of more people come to my Facebook page, see me or aware of me. The organization I'm working with wins because they get a great speaker, number one. Number two, they're directing people to their Facebook content, giving great content. Number three, they're teaching their people new skills that are going to be helpful in advancing that industry or that organization's issues. And they don't have to pay me. So everybody wins. I get a lot more eyeballs. Plus I don't have to leave home. This is a home TV studio I'm in. So there's very little time. There's no travel cost. There's no travel time associated with it. So it's very simple and easy. So let me put this offer out to you. If you'd like me to speak to your organization, here are the restrictions. I will speak to basically any organization, any government entity in the world, any organization, if it has at least 10,000 followers on its Facebook page or a newsletter list of at least 10,000 people that you will be promoting the event to. I'll speak to your people on how to give speeches more effectively, how to present more effectively, how to use PowerPoint slides more effectively, or how to speak to the news media, whether it's in a crisis situation or any other. I come across people all the time saying, teacher, I want to be a professional speaker. I want to be a trainer. I want to be an expert. I can't get the phone to ring. No one's going to hire me and I've gone from $1,000 a speech to 500. Forget the petty little fees. Far better to speak for nothing if you don't have to travel and you can do it in an hour of your time than to speak for 500 or $1,000 and have to travel there for a day and a day of coordination and a day back and a day of paper. It's not worth it. Better if you're going to charge for your speeches, charge a very high dollar volume. But for others, if they don't have the high dollar and aren't willing to pay you, speak to them in this joint venture situation, but make them come to your Facebook page first or your YouTube page. I won't do this, for example, just speaking on someone else's webinar or on someone else's webex platform. If they want me to do that, they've got to pay. But if they want a true win win partnership, I do it live through Facebook Live. They hit the share button and everybody wins. Try that for yourself. Hope it works. Let me know how it works for you.
