Today Is the Best Possible Time To Create An AI Clone

TJ Walker says now is the time to create a video-based AI clone of yourself. The technology is accessible and practical, early movers will have industry advantages, and individual clones have built-in safeguards against misuse.

Why is now the perfect time to create an interactive digital clone of yourself or other colleagues in your organization, especially video? Well, for starters, because you can. Now, I understand there are times when you could do something. Doesn't mean you should do it. But I believe that the positives so overwhelm the negatives that this is a pretty clear cut case. Yes, I understand there are a lot of people who are legitimately concerned about the rise of artificial intelligence and generative AI possibly ending the world, turning all of us into paperclips and that sort of thing. All legitimate questions, not the scope of this particular course. But I do want you to think about, even if these other doomsday scenarios are true, I don't think it's going to come because you created a digital clone of yourself. To clarify, we're not talking about creating a robot. We're not talking about creating something in the physical world that's going to go out and rob banks and do all these other sorts of potential misdeeds. We're talking about something that lives in the digital world that is sharing information and insights and, and doing it in a way that could be text. If someone is communicating by a text bot to your clone could be by audio, which again is converting into text. Your clone is absorbing that and then converting it into sounds to mimic your voice. And it could be in video where it's taking images of you and having it move and having the lips move, syncing it to audio that's been created, pulling data from the database of knowledge you've given it to make it seem like a conversational flow. These are complex things, but I don't think any of those are going to be responsible for causing destruction in the world. Clearly, if you get a hold of someone else's clone and you get it to say things that could really cause problems, well, then anything is possible. But there are safeguards in most clones. There are safeguards in my clone where you can't just get me to cluck like a chicken. Believe me, people are trying to. You can't just get it to say racist things or wildly offensive things. It's here to pull from my database of ideas that I've given it to help other people. That's really what it's there for. So please keep that in mind. That's the real purpose of why we're here. And that's why I do not think that, that you should not do this just because, oh, you think it's too dangerous. There are legitimate questions about the advances of artificial intelligence. The really mega billion dollar companies, OpenAI and others, are they progressing so fast and heading into dangerous territories? Totally legitimate. But for you and me to use a little slice of that insight that's already been created to share our expertise with the world, I think is a clear cut answer that you should do it. Now is the time to do now. The other reason for now is chances are you'll be the first in your industry, you'll be the first in your niche, the first in your town, you'll be the first at something. And there is first mover status in many aspects of life. There's no doubt about it. There's Gary Vaynerchuk, the Internet impresario was the first person to do a daily show about wine way back at the beginning of social media, video and YouTube. And he was actually on another platform of viddler. But because he was first, a lot of benefits accrued to him. People who started the very first Twitter account in various niches have often grown to have millions of followers and build entire businesses around it. People who were first in many fields of endeavor have been very successful and have benefited because they were first. Do you know what the second university to be founded in the United States was? Most people don't. Do you know the first university in the United States? It was Harvard. And to this day still arguably the most respected and prestigious university in the United States, if not the world, in part because it was the first one established in the United States. The second university was William and Mary, a fine school, but not nearly as well known as Harvard. Why is that? First mover status? So that's why I think right now is the perfect time for you to start a digital clone. The other thing is just the practicality of it. They are now digital platforms designed to make it relatively simple for you and me and other non tech people to create a digital clone without us having to have millions of dollars of startup capital to go around and hire half a dozen or more engineers. We don't have to do that. There are platforms created. I'm showing you the one that I've built my clone on. But there are others out there, so it simply is much easier. It was pretty hard making videos when I first started in the 70s and the 80s. You had to hire a production team and camera operators and editor. Everything was expensive and difficult. Now you just hold up your phone, do a video that might be seen by millions. So the technology has gotten to the point where it's easy to create. You don't have to wait for other pieces of the puzzle to come together. The generative AI aspect is there. That's why I want you to not wait any longer. Don't just finish this course. So. Well, that was interesting. One day I'll have to go make a digital. No, do it. Because mark my words, I'm absolutely convinced of this. At some point, anybody who has a LinkedIn profile will also have a digital clone. These days, pretty much everybody is in the business world. Anyone who isn't retired, anyone who does anything professional where their mind is involved, has a LinkedIn page. It's just something you have to do. It's kind of the equivalent of what people used to do, having a business card. It's something you do to just make yourself accessible to the world and the people you care about. At some point, it's going to be exactly the same with clowns. If everyone in your industry already has a clone and then you have a clone, big deal. I'm old enough to remember back in the mid-1990s when if a business created a website just for creating it, they could get a front page business story in a lot of publications across the United States and around the world. It was big news. They had attention, they had eyeballs, they had people coming to seek them out. And oftentimes that propelled an entire business for them for decades may have generated huge profits. And then it got to the point where everyone was starting a website. You didn't get any news coverage. And then it got to the point where if you didn't have a website, you would get news coverage, talking about how behind the times you were, how slow you were, how anti technology you were. So things evolve sometimes very quickly. I think we're at the right point in history now, technology history, that if you create a clone, it's going to get attention from the people you care about, you respect in your industry. If you wait, you're going to miss out on that opportunity. It'll still be a good idea to have one in five or 10 years, but you'll get a lot more benefits accruing to you right now if you create your clone now.
