Trump’s Address to the Nation: Fact-Check, Rhetoric, and What It Means | Filtered

Foreign. Donald Trump addressed the nation last night and it was a doozy. Hi, my name is TJ Walker. This is Filtered. This is your daily dive into the stop in the top business, culture and news stories of the day. And I'm going to bring to you today an in depth analysis, a little bit different type of a show. We'll be doing an in depth analysis of his speech and I'm drawing upon my 40 years of experience doing speech training, presentation skills training for not this president, but I have worked with presidents of nations, prime ministers, Nobel Peace Prize winners, members of Congress, members of parliament all over the world, advising them on how to communicate effectively as well as what to say. Be giving you a deep dive analysis right now. Welcome to Filtered with TJ Walker.

In America. Eleven months ago, I inherited a mess and I'm fixing it. When I took office, inflation was the worst in 48 years.

Okay, so this is just not accurate. It's about three seconds in and already the president is lying. Sorry if that sounds less than precise or like a political scientist, but it's a liar. It interesting that one of the late night talk show hosts called this a set of a fireside chat, a liar side chat. Inflation at the end of Biden's term was 2.47%. It is true that inflation did spike earlier in his predecessor's term, but inflation was 2.4% at the end of Biden's term. Today, according to most credible estimates, it's 3.1%. So inflation has gone up. So we're about five seconds into the speech and he's already trying to essentially sell a demonstrable lie. Let's see where we go from there.

And some would say in the history of our country, which caused, well, he.

Says some would say that's one of his unique verbal ticks. What he really means is he's saying that it's the worst inflation in history. Nobody else has. But he doesn't want to say he's the only one who says that. So he says some are saying that's an extraordinarily imprecise rhetorical flourish he uses. And it's, it's comical in many aspects, but becoming less comical to others. All you have to do is go to Google, type in inflation. United States over the last 50 years, you'll see numerous times where inflation was much higher than it was at, than at any point during Biden's term of.

Office, prices to be higher than ever before, making life unaffordable.

When he says prices are higher than ever before, you could say exactly the same thing for virtually every president of the United States. Even if there's a tiny 1% inflation rate, prices are going to be higher under any president's tenure, prices were higher than ever before under President Trump's first term. It's not particularly meaningful and to suggest that it is is demagoguery for millions.

And millions of Americans. This happened during a Democrat administration and it's when we first began.

So his signature now slur. Apparently it's now considered cute and clever among conservative talk show hosts, podcasting bros, and others to not actually say a Democratic president or a member of the Democratic Party. It's somehow considered cute to say Democrat Party. I don't know that it's. Well, of all the slurs he does, I guess that's one of the more innocuous ones. But again, it's sort of demeaning the office of the White House demeaning the notion of a presidential address, to use the same sort of lingo slang of shock jock, talk radio host, conservative broadcasters.

Hearing the word affordability. Our border was open because of this.

So he's talking about affordability. He said that was a big issue, a real issue. He's great on it. Then he called it fraud, a Democratic hoax in the last couple of weeks and now he's trying to embrace affordability. Again, a lot of mixed messaging there of this.

Our country was being invaded by an army of 25 million people, many who came from prisons and jails meant so.

To say our country was invaded by 25 million people is absolute sham and a scam and demagogue. Not true. Was there more immigration and were there more refugees coming into the country under Biden than the previous administration? Yes. But to just say hordes of 25 million people coming into the country, demonstrably a falsehood.

Jails, mental institutions and insane asylum. They were drug dealers, gang members and even 11,888 murderers, more than 50% of whom killed more than one person.

This is what the Biden administration allowed to happen to.

According to every statistic from reputable law enforcement data sources, refugees and immigrants commit violent crime at a statistically lower percentage than native born Americans. You'll never hear Trump admit that, but it is in fact our country and.

It can never be allowed to happen again. We had men playing in women's sports. Transgender for everybody. Crazy crime.

It transgender for everybody. Let me ask you, I want to know from you specifically if you're watching or listening, did you personally have an immediate family member, a female A girl playing in junior high school, middle school, high school, college sports who then had to compete against a transsexual person and your daughter, the female in your family then lost. I'm not saying it didn't happen, but to elevate this to a national crisis suggests that someh now the previous administration was essentially beating the bushes at every high school, encouraging kids to become transsexuals to pete in athletic events, former boys to then compete in girls sports is just outlandish demagoguery. It's a fake, phony issue. And here he is promoting it again. Crime was not at record levels during the Biden administration. Crime continued to go down, certainly in most major cities. Most Democratic cities, or to use the lingo of Trump, the Democrat cities, saw crime go down ever since the pandemic. Of course, he would never admit words.

Such as that just absolutely forbidden. We had the worst trade deals ever made and our country was laughed at from all over.

So the worst trade deals ever? No, there's simply no evidence of that. The stock market was at an all time high, trade was at an all time high, and the American economy after Covid did remarkably well. Yes, there was inflation, remarkably lower inflation than most other major Western Democrats. But our economy thrived under Biden. People's 401ks soared under Biden. And to just to suggest otherwise, it's absolute demagoguery. Here's the part that I don't see anyone on the and by the way, I'm a sane, sensible centrist. I'm not giving you Democratic spin. I'm giving you a perspective based on facts, analysis in the real world. So I've never yet seen an honest conservative say, look, okay, if you're going to fault Biden for having inflation go up, you have to then also blame Trump for having lost more jobs under his tenure as president in the first term than any US President since Herbert Hoover. And of course, the rebuttal for most conservatives and Trump apologists would be, well, that's not fair. That was Covid. You can't blame that all on President Trump. Everybody lost jobs. True, Every Western democracy and a lot of other places too saw inflation spike during COVID It was a simple function of all of a sudden a lot more demand for products because people couldn't buy services like going to restaurants. So inflation skyrocket everywhere in the world because of worldwide supply chains. You cannot give President Trump pass on presiding over more people losing their jobs in his term than any president's Herbert Hoover and not somehow say, okay, Biden deserves pass for inflation too. It's simply illogical. And anyone who does so is complete hack. They're not giving you straightforward, honest analysis. And additionally, there are plenty of countries in Western Europe, other G7 nations that saw inflation go as high or higher than ours, and they did not fiscal stimulus stimuli to the same level we did. So you can't say it's the unmitigated fault of Biden as of his plan.

From all over the world. But they're not laughing anymore over the past 11.

Okay, again, he's just saying America, we're being laughed by demonstration. What does that even mean? I mean, we are living in a world of 8 billion people. Certainly there's some people who laughing at any American. Jimmy Kimmel made fun of Joe Biden. Yeah, people laughed at that. But the idea that somehow the groundswell around the laughing at America because of our policy, again, that's just absolute unmitigated nonsense. We're only a minute and 28 seconds into this speech. I've already lost count at how many lies, distortions, fabrication and outright items of demagogic nonsense have been uttered last 11 months.

We have brought more positive change to Washington than any.

We brought more positive change to Washington. Well, has inflation gone down? That's supposed to do? No, it's not gone down. Is spending gone down? No. Has the deficit gone down? No, no and no.

Than any administration in American history. There's never been anything like it. And I think that's true.

There's never been anything like it. Seeing tariffs higher than they've ever been in our country's history, certainly in the last 30 years. Has it created a single new factor? No evidence to suggest it has. Is there any evidence that it's strengthened or brought any jobs back? Absolutely not. Now whatever Trump has done, he hasn't diminished the enthusiasm for artificial intelligence spending by the tech sector and by most accounts, that's what's propped up our economy. And certainly it's propped up the S&P 500 and Jones and all the stock. So tax and a tariff is tax with our work. The tariffs have not destroyed the stock market. But absent the AI investment, our economy would be flat, if not flat out in a session of right now.

I think most would agree I was elected in a landslide.

Most would agree. No, most do not. I think he's about to say he.

Was in the land sea landslide winning the popular vote.

So he says he was elected in a landslide. It was less percent. It was about 1.5% difference between his vote Count Kamala Harris. Now there have been landslide election in our country. Ronald Reagan did legitimately win a landslide and he won about 49 states. He won by a big, big margin. Reagan won bigly to use a favorite term, Trump But 1.5% is not a landslide anybody political again it's just nonsense.

Vote and all seven swing states and everything okay, that's true.

Now we are a minute 48 seconds. The President traded or stated a fact and unlike other so called facts that one is actually true. He did win all of the swing and he deserves credit for that. Harris campaign deserves full blame for that and everything else.

With a mandate to take on mandate.

Simply saying you have a mandate doesn't give you a mandate. Ronald Reagan could arguably claim because he had a very large margin of victory in 1980 there was a mandate sort of a shift from centrist policies to more conservatives. Ronald Reagan made that and there was some credibility. Now I will defend Trump in every politician they have a mandate they want to get momentum going for their but a 1.5 spread in the polls is not anybody's definite of a man. That's a, that's a still very close election and it means basically half didn't want to win and to turn that into a mandate is just it's spin. Now by Trumpian standards it's not much of a whopper but it doesn't ring.

True take on a sick and corrupt system that okay, sick.

And I blame this one on Newt Gingrich. Newt Gingrich in 1995 commissioned a poll from pollster Frank Lutz and it just gave them a playbook. It said don't, don't be polite and say I differ with my Democratic colleague on the other side of the aisle. The whole playbook them you must demonize. Europe cannot say opponent of goodwill who has symbols and salute you have to call them sick that a traitor. So this started with Newt Gingrich president's broken with Exactly. Follow the Gingrich playbook and everything but on this he does never admit that your opponent is a worthy advertiser adversary Simply say if they disagree with you they're sick pathetic losers unpatriotic, traitorous and it's unbecoming President united not in this from the White House other than of course the first Trump term.

Okay yeah, there he goes with craze that Saturday night Live characters like to mock they look weird strange but talking about crushing dreams talking about there were More billionaires minted in the United States under President Joe Biden than under any president history of our nation. A lot of people got rich during Biden. Now in a nation of 330 million people, were some people crushed? Well, yeah. Any evolve to suggest that mor crushed in a time of largely economic expansion, especially during a crisis of COVID Again, absolute demagoguery.

For the last four years the United States was ruled by politicians who fought only for insiders illegal aliens career.

Now this is a bit rich coming from someone who has enriched himself more than not any other politician in the history. Arguably President Trump enriched himself more than all other politics. Certainly all other presidents in the history of the crypto scams alone have according to reputable essence brought in billion dollars to him. And it so talk about Biden previous administration rich. I mean that, that is really, that's that's beyond the pot calling the kettle black.

Career criminals, corporate lobbyists, prisoners, terrorists, corporate lobbyists.

This guy is selling pardon to hardened criminals to people who've literally destroyed the dream by committing financial fraud and scams. He's selling pardon to anybody who hires his friends as lobbyists or puts his kids on their payroll.

And above all foreign nations which took advantage of us at levels never seen before. They flooded your cities and towns with illegal aliens. They decimated your hard earned savings, they.

Indoctrinated your children foreign decimate your hard earned savings just again spewing nonsense. I realize that doesn't sound like a political scientist doing serious analysis, but I don't know how else categorize people just making up stuff. Why not just say Biden is so greedy that he ate the moon that was made of blue cheese and it was tasty and he ate it all and now we have no moon anymore and your children can't, you know, wish upon the moon. It's about as nonsensical as that doctrinated.

Your children with hate for America release. Really? I mean they just released a level of violent felons hate for America.

I challenge anyone to post in the comments a link showing video of Joe Biden saying all school children America, everybody should hate him because guess what? He never, you know a lot has been said legitimately that people surrounding Biden were enabling him, especially after the first debate last that he clearly is too old for the job, he didn't look like he was their parent and I think a lot of his deservedly received a lot of criticism. But here we are only 2 minutes and 34 seconds and there are, I think we're at more than 100 lies fabric imbecilic remarks made in a sane world. Staff would have come in with little white coats at this point of the speech and just carted him away, said Excuse me Mr. President, we have a crisis, we gotta go and just escorted him off the stage. But they're not doing that. They are in fact felons that we.

Had never seen to prey on innocent. They caused war, they caused mayhem, they caused a horrible situation all over the globe. But now you have a pretty so.

President Biden caused a horrible situation all over the globe. Really? Why not just say he caused wars on all the planets in our solar. You're going to just make up stuff. Why not go intergalactic?

You have a president who fights for the law abiding hardworking people of our country. The ones who make so here we.

Have a convicted felon saying he's fighting for law and order and someone who is abused the pardon power. You might not have liked President Biden pardoning his son. We can talk about that another day. But arguably there's a case that was use of pardon power. But there's absolutely nothing. I mean that's like worrying about someone littering with a gumball wrapper paired to a mass murderer. When you look hardened the President Trump to criminals who don't even try to hide the fact that they were scamming people committing hideous crime. And for him to stand up and say he's in favor of law and order is truly bizarre.

To make this nation run who make this nation work. And after just one year we have achieved more than anyone could have imagined starting on day one.

So we've achieved more than anyone could imagine. Well, I guess for many people who imagined you would have done nothing but destroy the nation and destroy the economy with the tariffs, I guess you've done more than they could imagine because in fact the country has not slid into recession. And many economists did in fact predict that just like Smoot Hawley tariff were considered by most contributing factor the Great Depression. Many did predict that Trump's tariffs egregiously high to throw the United States has not done that yet. So I guess by that measure stration has done more than many predicted.

On day one I took immediate action to stop the invasion of our southern border. For the past seven months, zero illegal aliens have been allowed into our country. A feat which everyone said was zero.

I don't think that really comports with factual situation.

Everyone said was absolutely impossible. Do you remember when Joe Biden said that he needed Congress to pass legislation to help close the border.

Well, I remember when the Biden administration did in fact work with the legislative branch, I realized that and crafted legislation would in fact enable them legally to do a lot more to stop immigration or illegal immigration. And President Trump told Republic, you have to we don't want to do anything to help Biden crack down on immigrants. We want that as teenage. So forget what's good for America today. Do what's good for Trump politically for tomorrow. I do very much remember that he.

Was always blaming Congress and everyone else. As it turned out, we didn't need legislation, we just needed a new president. We inherited the worst border anywhere in the world and we quickly turned it into the strongest border in the history of.

Well, there's simply no evidence to suggest it's the worst border in the world. There are a number of countries in other parts of the world that would beg to differ. And I realize the president has probably never heard of Lebanon. But in Lebanon you've got essentially one out of four. By some estimates, one out of three people are refugees that just walked right over the border. Proportionally in the United States, that would mean we would have 100 million refugees. We don't have. So no, it's not the worst border in the world. It's not even close in the history of our country.

In other words, in a few short months we went from worst to best. We're deporting criminals, restoring safety to our most dangerous cities. Just take a look at Washington D.C. it's at levels of safety that we've never seen before.

And they again, not really true. Washington D.C. has been getting consistently safer for the last 20 years. Now. It's not worse off than it was a year ago, but Washington D.C. was safe a year ago and it was safe eight months ago before President Trump brought in the troops. New York City, lowest crime in 30 years right now. So crime has been going down. I realize it's not correct to say that then. Some people who watch Fox News read the New York Post and are convinced that no matter what, crime can only go up, especially if someone they don't like is in office. But the good news is crime has been going down pretty steadily in America. It's been going down faster in big than in rural areas and so called red state area. But crime has been going down and it's been going down under both political parties and that is just a fact. But here is Trump trying to say that crime is way down in wash of something he did. There's no evidence to support that claim.

He decimated the bloodthirsty foreign drug cartels. We did that all by ourselves with our people, and we're so proud of it because they were poisoning and destroying our population. Drugs brought in by ocean and by sea are now down 94%. We have broken the grip of sinister.

So I guess nobody uses drugs in America anymore.

Okay, well, that's their woke radicals in our schools. And control over those schools is back now in the hands of our great and loving states where education belongs after rebuilding the United States.

So we still have a Department of Education. Trump's tried to to destroy it. We can argue whether that's a good policy or not. But the idea that the Department of Education is telling local schools to have WOKE policies. Again, it's a nice talking point if you're Sean Hannity, but it's not. Not something a president of the United States cares about. Making rational arguments to the country as a whole can make.

With a straight United States military in my first term and with the addition we are adding right now, we have the most powerful military anywhere in the world and it's not even close.

Yes, we do. He's absolutely right there. We do have the most powerful military in the world and it's not even close. It's true today. Guess what? And it was a go. And four years ago, I've restored American.

Strength, settled eight wars in 10 months, destroyed the Iraq.

Now this is complete BS. The one thing he has done regarding war is he has sided with our enemy Vladimir Putin and Russia and against our democratic allies in Europe. That's something that no president has ever been thought to do. There were many conservatives and Republicans who worried that a president with Russian sympathies would do this. But they always thought it would be some commie pinko Democrat. It turns out Trump is the one who always sees favor in whatever the Russians want, always seems to side against democratic forces in Europe, whether it's Ukraine or elsewhere.

The Iran nuclear threat and ended the war in Gaza bringing for the first.

Time in 3,000 years, ended the war in Gaza. Okay, sure. Seems like there's still a lot of conflict.

There is peace to the Middle east and secured the release of the hostages, both living and dead here at home. We're bringing our economy back from the brink of ruin.

The last administration bringing our economy back the brink of ruin. The stock market was at an all time high, folks. If that's an all time ruin, let's have more ruin. Inflation had been high during the initial months in the first few years of the pandemic as it was everywhere around the world. Inflation was lower in the United States than many nations. And by the time Biden left office, inflation was about 4%. Today it's 0.1%. So we're just continuing to tell lie after lie after lie about the economy.

Last administration and their allies in Congress looted our treasury for trillions of dollars.

Driving up, talking about looting Congress. When you look at all the things that that Trump is doing to money get it seems bizarre he would have the the gall to do that. But one thing you can say about him, he does not embarrass easily or at all.

Driving up prices and everything at levels never seen before. I am bringing those high prices down and bringing them down very fast.

Test.

Let's look at the facts. Under the Biden administration.

Oh, now he's got a PowerPoint slide. Interesting. So he's claiming he's bringing down prices. Nobody believes this. Ask yourself, are you paying less at the grocery store than you did a year ago? No. Or not.

Administration. Car prices rose 22% and in many states, 30% or more. Gasoline rose 30 to 50%. Hotel rates rose 37%. Airfares rose 31%.

Okay, so talk about sleazy, cheesy and dishonest. He's looking at price increases for over four years for Biden and he's holding himself accountable for for 11 months. And he's cherry pick. Notice he doesn't seem to have a lot of food here. Sporting event tickets down 9%. Really? Have you been to a professional sporting event lately? It certainly appears as though like a lot of things this administration does, the numbers are just absolutely made up, just completely made up out of thin air or cherry picks.

And now under our leadership, they are all coming down and coming down fast.

Then, then why is inflation 3.1% according to most independent experts and surveys, it's not horribly high. I mean, let's be fair. Inflation has been much higher under both Democratic and Republican presidents in the last few years. It's not that high above the benchmar that the fed shoots for of 2%, but it's still higher than it was under Biden.

Democrat politicians also sent the cost of groceries soaring, but we are solving that too. The price of a Thanksgiving Turkey was down 33% compared to the Biden.

That's just not true. I've seen numerous estimates showing cost of a Thanksgiving dinner, which by the way, if you only have turkey at a Thanksgiving dinner, you're not going to have Grandma and Granny and Uncle Joe come back again. You have to have stuffing and cranberry sauce and other things. And price of your groceries for thanks till Thanksgiving dinner in 2025 went up, not down in 2024.

The Biden last year, the price of eggs is down 82% since March. And everything else is falling rapidly.

Everything else is not falling rapidly. Unmitigated lie.

And it's not done yet. But boy, are we making progress. Nobody can believe what's going on.

Nobody can believe what's going on. Well, that may be one of the most truthful statements Trump said in this White House address.

Here are just some of the efforts that we have underway you will see in your wallets and bank accounts in the new year. After years of record setting, falling incomes, our policies are boosting take home pay at a historic pace. Under Biden, real wages plummeted by $3,000. Under Trump, the typical factory worker is seeing a wage increase of $1,300 for.

This is just all complete made up stuff. I mean, I could put up a graph saying 9 out of 10American women think I have the best hair in the country. Makeup stuff. Guess what? It's not true.

For construction workers, it's $1,800. For miners, we're bringing back clean, beautiful coal, it's $3,300. And for the first time in years.

There are virtually no coal miners in America. They weren't before Trump took office. There are hardly any now. There are dramatically more estheticians in America than there are coal miners. There are dramatically more people working in nail salons. Coal is still an important source of fuel in America. Like coal, mining itself just doesn't require many workers. And it is insignificant in terms overall economic impact.

And your wages are rising much faster than inflation. Remember that rate wages, just look at wage.

So how does that actually happen? And this is mercury area economics. When wages rise quickly, that's when you.

See inflation are going up much faster than inflation. How big is that? Very importantly, there are more people working today than at any time in American history. And okay, that's true.

There are more people working today than at any point in American history. Guess what? Every president in the history of the United States can say that at some point in their term. Although by the end of Trump's first term, that wasn't true. What he could say is more people lost their jobs in his first than any president since Herbert Hoover. So again, to state something that's just automatically true for everyone as if it were a distinct positive attribute to your administration, is not an outright lie. But it's kind of cheesy and sleazy.

And 100% of all jobs created since I took office have been in the private sector. Think of that. 100% of all jobs have been in the private sector rather.

So what does that even mean? It sounds like he's trying to take credit for decimating our public sector workforce. Abusing so many public officials, firing air traffic controllers are ruining their lives. Yeah, if you, if you don't have any new government employee, that does mean new jobs would come from the private sector. But even that's not true. That would suggest not a single American soldier has hired. Not a single person has enrolled in the military in the last 11 months. That's not credible. Obviously every day there are new people enrolling in the United States military. Guess what? They're government workers. They are not private workers. So again, just monsterable falsehood rather than.

Government, which is the only way to make a country powerful and great. This historic trend will continue.

Wait a minute. He just said we have the strongest military in the history of the world and anywhere in the world. Which is true. And he just said the only way to make a country strong is. Is through private sector hiring. Well, you can't have it both ways. Have the strongest military because we hired them to work. Work for the government.

You already I've secured a record breaking $18 trillion of investment into the United States, which means jobs, bribes, jobs, wage increases, growth, factory open and far greater national security. Much of this success has been accomplished by tariffs. My favorite word, tariffs.

Okay, now he's being honest. At least it does appear as though favorite words to say that's why we have investment is bizarre distortion. Now it is true that by putting such large tariffs on so many countries, a lot of countries said, hey, this guy's clearly acting like a mob boss, we can bribe him. If we just say we're going to build some plant in Texas, he'll maybe get rid of the tariffs for us. So it is true some foreign investment has come in because of these tariffs. This extortion, now this. The other price there is that Americans are no longer trust partner in the world arena. Americans are, if not being laughed at, at least being being shunned. People are realizing they cannot count on America and American business and American government fairly. So we're losing a lot of trade partners around the world because of this. But yes, technically some investment has come in because countries have come to the conclusion they need to bribe Trump in order to not be punished through excessive.

Tariffs, which for many decades have been Used successfully by other countries against us. But not anymore. Companies know that if they build in America, there are no tariffs and that's why they're coming home to the USA in record numbers. They're building factories and plants levels we haven't seen AI So I mean, with.

A couple of exceptions and a few sectors, it's just not really true. Think of the, the wildly outrageous and funny Apple or, excuse me, ad from China. Some Chinese, whether it was government or a Chinese representative, did an ad of, of Americans trying to assemble iPhones. A bunch of 400 pound wildly obese American with giant fingers hunched over iPhones. And it was just making a mockery of Trump. You know, he said that we were laughed at during Biden administration. Well, we really are being laughed at by the world with this sentiment that somehow we're going to build iPhones in America, which would cost, by the way, about $6,000 with American workers, automobiles.

We're doing what nobody thought was even possible, not even remotely possible. There's never.

Well, that is true. We are doing things that a lot of people thought were not remotely possible.

Frankly been anything like it one year ago.

Again, that's true. We've seen stuff where no one thought they'd see anything like this in America. We've definitely that in the last 11.

Months it was dead. We were absolutely dead. Our country was ready to fail, totally failed now.

So nobody thought our country was dead or about to fail again. If the rest thought the country was dead and about to fail, we wouldn't have any immigrant problem. We wouldn't have refugees trying to come here. Why do so many people want to move to the United States? Why do they want to leave their countries to come to the United States in the year 2021, 22? They wanted to come here because they thought this was the best country in the world. If everybody thought America was a laughing stock and we were a dead country, we wouldn't have a problem with anybody across the road. Our biggest problem would be everybody leaving. But other than Rosie o' Donnell and a few other talk show hosts and I guess Richard Gere, nobody's really left America.

Now. We're the hottest country anywhere in the world. And that's said by every single leader that I've spoken to over the last five months.

So every single leader has said you're the hottest country in the world again. What does that mean? He seems like he's hawking the latest grand opening of casino right before it goes bankrupt and before he has to ask for daddy's Money to bail him out. Drinks aren't hot. Some are well run. Some are governed by response. Others aren't.

Five months next year you will also see the results of the largest tax cuts in American history that were really accomplished through our great big beautiful.

Well, they were large tax cuts. There's no doubt about beautiful bill perhaps.

The most sweeping legislation ever passed in Congress. We wrap.

It's not the most sweeping legislation ever passed, but it was a significant bill. It did in fact cut taxes on a lot of wealthy Q. Donald and it reduced a lot of service for everyone else and dramatically increased the debt.

We wrapped 12 different bills up into one beautiful bill that includes no tax on no tax on overtime and no tax on Social Security for our great senior. Under these cuts, many families will be saving between 11,000 and $20,000 a year.

Almost all of the tax cuts go to people making hundreds of thousands of dollars a year.

And next spring is projected to be the largest tax refund season of all time because of tariffs along with the just passed one big beautiful bill.

So again it sounds significant but every tax season is typically the largest tax refund season of all time. And that's simply the nature of growing economy and more people in the workforce.

Tonight I am also proud to announce that more than 1,450 thousand. Think of this. 1,450,000 military service members will receive a special we call warrior dividend before Christmas. A warrior dividend in honor of our Nation's founding in 1776. We are sending every soldier $1,776. Think of that. And the checks are already on the way. Nobody understood that one until about 30 minutes ago. We made a lot more money than anybody thought because of tariffs and the bill helped us along. Nobody deserves it more than our military. And I say congratulations everybody. And by the way, we now have record enlistment in our military and last year we had among the worst recruitment.

Okay, so every single job ever created this year is 100% in the private center. And we've had more people enlist in the military than ever before. Do you not see the contradiction there? The two are simply not adding up. This would mean we have more government workers than ever before because as he said just now, not only is he paying government more government workers, which is what soldiers are, he's giving them bonuses too.

The worst recruitment numbers in our military's history. What a difference a year makes. In addition, I'm doing what no politician.

Actually a year doesn't make a difference. We had the strongest military in the world a year ago as well.

Either party has ever done standing up to the special interest. Dramatically reduced the price of prescription drugs. I negotiated directly with the drug companies and foreign.

Okay, so he wants credit for getting prescription prices down. Let me ask you, are your prescription drug prices down? Because what we are about to see is 20 million Americans see their health care cost double because the Trump administration thought it was more important to reduce taxes on very wealthy high income earners. Thank you. And not extend extra tax credits and help people who were on Obamacare who needed subsidies in order to afford health insurance. So we're going to see 20 million Americans come January see their health insurance in many cases double. And estimates are that some 4 to 5 million people simply will not be able to afford it and they will suddenly have no health insurance at all. But hey, Maybe they'll save 5 cents on a prison drug. Even though they won't be able to get a prison. They won't.

Foreign nations, which were taking advantage of our country for many decades to slash prices on drugs and pharmaceuticals by as much as 400, 500 and even 600%. In other words, your drug costs will be plummeting down. And I use the threat of tariffs to get. Foreign countries never have done it to pay the cost of this giant dollar reduction. They stop.

And actually not needed. Now, this is a bipartisan problem. Again, I'm fair here. I'm here as a sane, sensible, centrist. Democrats are as big of a problem as Republicans because both parties could get together and mandate that Congress get the absolute best deal from pharmaceutical. We don't even need help from other countries. We could simply use the purchasing power of the federal government to get the best bulk discount price for Americans. But both parties are beholden to the pharmaceutical industry and the insurance industry and they didn't want to do that.

Stopped ripping us off and it began as of four days ago. There has never been anything like this in the history of our country. Drugs have only gone up, but now they'll be going down by numbers never conceived possible. It's called most Favored Nation and no president has ever had the courage or ability to get this done until now. The first of these unprecedented price reductions will be available starting in January through a new website, trumprx.gov so if your.

Health insurance goes from $1,000 a month to $2,000 a month and your entire income is $58,000 a month, how is it possibly going to matter saving a few bucks in prices? I mean, that's the, that's the real political problem. And don't listen to someone like Republican conservative Republican Trump supporter Marjorie Taylor Greene who says her own 26 year old children see their health double and they are worried. And so that's the problem. A band aid approach like this, saving a few bucks on prescription drugs isn't to help have no health insurance.gov and.

These big price cuts will greatly reduce the cost of health care. I'm also taking on the gigantic health insurance companies that have gotten rich on billions of dollars of money that should go directly to the people. The money should go to the people that's you, so they can buy their own health insurance which will give far better benefits at much lower costs. It will be far better health insurance.

So this is typical of the convoluted logic and word salad and thinking of this president, he's saying it's awful that Congress and those bad old Democrats gave money to people so they could have health and that money to health and people health. So Trump isn't going to do that. Instead he's going to give money to people so that they can give money to health insurance company. If you see a difference there you are indulging in magical things.

The current unaffordable Care act was created to make insurance companies rich. It was bad health.

That's true. That's absolutely true. We would be much better off to have single payer government health care plan as they do in Canada and Europe in most places. And whether it's a majority or a powerful plurality of Americans don't want it. And Democrats won't vote for it. It's true. Republicans won't vote. Absolutely true that it's for insurance company. But if you don't want insurance companies, the only other option is the government does it in absolute hell holes like.

Canada to live bad health care at much too high a cost. And you see that now in the steep increase in premiums being demanded by the Democrats and they are demanding those increases. And it's their fault. It is not the Republicans fault, it's the Democrats fault. It's the unaffordable Care Act.

So it's arguably that you could say that's true. It is the Democrats fault that 20 million Americans have health insurance who otherwise wouldn't afford health insurance, wouldn't have any health when they get sick, could just hope for the best or declare bankruptcy, not pay their medical. So that part is true because no Republican voted for Obamacares. That's true. The fact that they're now losing their health is because of Trump and his policy and the Republican policy. So those there, I tell you there are a lot of Republicans like Marjorie Taylor Greene saying the Republican to pay a huge political price polls six when tens of millions of Americans, most of whom live in red states, are no longer going to be able to afford health.

And everybody knew it. Again, I want the money to go directly to the people so you can buy your own health care. You can get much better health care at a much lower price.

So why would it be a lower price if right now the government pays for health? It's because that's the collective power of the government. And it turns around and okay, we're not going to give any money to the health insurance companies. We're going to give money to you so that you as an individual can buy your health insurance. How can one person as an individual get a better deal? The government completely opposite of what the point he just made with how he was going to be able to get a better deal with pharmaceuticals by using the purging power of the government. So again, wildly, the only losers will.

Be insurance companies that have gotten rich in the Democrat Party, which is totally controlled by those same insurance companies. They will not be happy.

So again, that part is the Democratic Party is controlled by this company, as is the Republican Party.

But that's okay with me because you are finally going to be getting great health care at a lower cost. Another mate.

So you're finally going to be getting great health. What's the plan? Has no plan. And he's been saying for 10 years he's going to have very soon to give all Americans great health care. He's never once come up with a plan. Now it's not his problem specifically or uniquely to because ever since Obama came out, Obamacare came out more than 15 years ago, every conservative Republican says I have Obamacare is awful. I have a better plan. They once come out with anything close.

The major focus is the cost of energy. For years the radical left Democrats exploited.

The green energy scam as an radical left Democrats. That is, that is less intellectually honest than saying every Republican is a radical right wing fascist republic. Now, there may be some fascists in our government, but most Republicans in office I think can cannot honestly be called radical right fascist republic. And I don't hear Democrats or Democratic commentators calling all republic radical right wing fascist. And yet here is this president saying anyone who agrees with him, no matter how centrist, even conservative a Democrat is, and there are conservative Democrats is somehow a part of the radical left, as if they were all Fidel Castro with.

Long Beards as an excuse to funnel many billions of dollars into their own massive slush funds as their energy restrictions dress.

So again, him talking about slush funds when he just raised hundreds of millions of dollars from cronies who have direct business to build his Gold Leaf Ballroom is, I won't say comical. There's nothing funny about it. It is absurdity.

Drastically drove up prices and they drove them up at record level. Electricity costs surged 30 to 100% under Biden, and the typical family lost 5,000 to $10,000 in higher energy costs. Think of that 5,000 to $10,0000 you lost on day one. I declared a national energy emergence. Gasoline is now under $2.50 a gallon in much of the country in some state.

So again with, like, everything he says, he just makes up numbers that sound good, but if you go to the gas pump, no, that's not what gas cost at all. He's just pulling things out of, you know, where states.

It, by the way, just hit $1.99 a gallon. And within the next 12 months, we will have opened 1,600 new electrical generating plants. A record. And it's a record that won't be beaten by practically, I would say by anybody or certainly not very soon. Prices on electricity and everything else will fall dramatically. The Democrat inflation disaster, again, the worst in the history of our country.

So again, it's not the worst in the history of our. Yes, inflation, the worst in the last 30 years, in the initial years of the bide, as it was everywhere in the world. And in fact, inflation was lower in the United States than it was in many D7 nations. Again, you can't have it both ways. You can't say Trump didn't deserve any blame for the fact that more people lost jobs in his first term than any president since Herbert Hoover. But that's okay, because there was Covid and then turn around and say, but inflation was higher under Biden during COVID even though it was high everywhere. But somehow, uniquely, Biden gets blamed for that. It's just absolutely preposterous.

Rob millions of Americans of homeownership and indeed the American dream. The yearly cost of a typical new mortgage increased by $15,000 under Democrat rule. In 11 months, we've already gotten that annual cost down by $3,000 and it's coming down a lot lower. Wait till you see, the numbers are going to be shocking. And I'll soon announce our next chairman of the Federal Reserve, someone who believes in lower interest rates by a lot and more.

So that's perhaps one of the most troubling things of all coming out of this speech. Not surprising of course President Trump does not believe in an independent Fed. One of the reasons why the United States is the United States, why it's so successful, why our dollar is the reserve currency for the world is we've traditionally had it in Fed and now President Trump is basically saying he's not going to hire anyone who doesn't take his orders. This could spell economic disaster. We are already seeing some economic stagflation where we have both inflation higher inflation than desirable and higher unemployment desirable. So if all of a sudden some henchman of his comes in and just starts arbitrarily cutting interest rates, you could really see inflation and that could be disaster to the American. Again, not a surprise there because this has been one hobby horses for a long time. But no serious really believes good idea to let a president decide what they supposed to be a buffer because let's go back in history. I'm sure President Carter would have loved Straits plummet his last 18 months in office. If he could just turn the knob down, we might have seen great economic growth in the short term. And there had been no Ronald Gin there would have been conservative revolution in America. But Paul Volcker, the chairman of the Federal Reserve did what he thought was best for the economy long term. He didn't worry about helping or hurting any one political party. And that's as it should be, but not.

And mortgage payments will be coming down even further early the new year. And you will see this in the new year I will announce some of the most aggressive housing reform plans in American history. A major factor in driving up housing costs was the colossal border invasion. We have never been invaded. This is the worst.

Well, one of the things that we're going to see that's going to make housing costs go up is we don't have any workers to make houses. Now don't listen to me. All you have to do is, you know, look around at Mar A Lago and look at the history of who Trump has hired. He has famously hired lots and lots and lots of illegal immigrants and people from other countries, foreign workers because American workers don't want to go the grass at Mar A Lago and clean up trash and clean the room of his guests. I don't blame him. I don't enjoy that work. I don't want to do that work. But American constructions are hurting. Find workers and if they have to pay American worker full wages, we're going to see housing costs. Okay, folks, we're 14 minutes 58 seconds into an 18 minute I think I've seen enough now let me be fair about a couple of things. I'm here to give you not only policy analysis, news analysis but also communication and I call it like I I will say about Trump to me in this speech tonight he doesn't look or sound much different than he when he entered the in 2015. He doesn't have that loss of volume in his voice that Joe Biden suffered. He doesn't seem physically smaller although he does seem thinner. According to many reports he is on some GLP1 whether it's Wegovia or he does look thinner, he is lighter According to his last physical he pretty much sounds the same. He's certainly not less coherent. He didn't really lose any train of thought so to speak in this he's still able to read a teleprompter. The allegation literate I think are he's able to read this teleprompter and he does come across I would say more youth and more vigorous and more robust than the typical 79 year old. But if you the President be held to actually truth be honest with America I I think this is a five alarm fire here if this doesn't worry you now at least he didn't try to dredge up or or defend vicious nasty violence said about Rob Reiner. The grisly murder of Rob Reiner and his wife, their own son is one of the most despicable things but the most to ever come from President. I won't rehash all that here that's gotten Bunteri and devoted a couple of segments of that as well. At least he didn't try to double down and defend cheap vile attack on the Rob Reiner. I'll get credit for that. What do you think?
