Trump’s Corruption Problem: Fox Poll Hits 88%, Musk’s $158M Political Push

In this satirical political commentary, TJ Walker (host of "Filtered" and founder of Ultimize) critiques a series of recent U.S. political scandals, using a blend of humor, personal‑development analogies, and promotional plugs. He opens with a Fox News poll showing 88% of Americans worry about government corruption, then decries the hypocrisy of Trump supporters who claim to have “drained the swamp” while the swamp merely rebranded itself. Walker highlights Kimberly Guilfoyle’s resignation amid a pay‑for‑play scandal, Elon Musk’s $158 million financial support for Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (who regulates Musk’s businesses), and Paxton’s own fraught history of fraud indictments, impeachment, and a Dubai party with fugitives. He moves on to former Trump‑favored congressman Matt Gaetz, now sued for sex‑trafficking with alleged “friend” payments, and to Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth’s ill‑fated plan to livestream the execution of Nidal Hasan, which Trump halted. Throughout, Walker frames each episode as a failure of political goal‑setting, intersperses personal‑development advice, and repeatedly promotes free online courses on his Ultimize platform. The piece ends with a tongue‑in‑cheek “scorecard” comparing the various livestreams and a reminder that the next big broadcast will be election night.

Ultimize. Fox News just asked voters what worries them most, and 88% said corruption in government. The other 12% are on the payroll. And this is Fox News. When your own network's poll turns on you, that's like your mom leaving a 1-star review on your dating profile. To be fair, Trump supporters will say they've worried about corruption for years. That's why they voted to drain the swamp. I get it. Nobody likes a swamp. But the same Fox poll found only 18% say their family is better off than 2 years ago. And it landed right after Kimberly Guilfoyle resigned as ambassador to Greece amid a pay-for-play corruption scandal. As a results coach, I always say measure the outcome. They promised to drain the swamp. The measurable result? The swamp got a gift shop. 88%. You can't get 88% of Americans to agree on pineapple pizza, but they agree they're being robbed. First, the swamp got a lobbyist, then an ambassadorship, then its own crypto coin. They drained the swamp, then sold it back to us by the gallon. And Trump's favorite issue, voter fraud. Guess where that lands? Dead last. Split 52 to 48. Gas prices beat it by 31 points. Donald Trump just got out-pulled by a gas pump. Hi, I'm TJ Walker. This is Filtered. I'm just a guy from North Carolina who teaches people to set goals. Good news, this week everyone in Washington hit their goals. Bad news, the goals were resign in a pay-for-play scandal, buy a senator, establish a payment labeled car deductible, and livestream an execution. Think about the Guilfoyle part. Greece gave the world democracy, philosophy, and the Olympics. We sent Greece Kimberly Guilfoyle. That's not diplomacy. That's a return policy. My tip for the Trump family: if you're going to make money off the presidency, at least package it as an online course. Then it's not corruption, it's passive income. I would know. And if you want to see exactly what 88% of Americans are worried about, Look at Texas. Elon Musk just spent $158 million helping Ken Paxton run for Senate in Texas. And Ken Paxton happens to be the attorney general who regulates Elon Musk's businesses in Texas. That's not a campaign donation. That's parking validation at a massive level. To be fair, Musk supporters say it's his own money, not taxpayer money. And a billionaire has every right to back the candidate he believes in. Okay, apparently that's a real argument, but look at the receipts. The New York Times found Musk gave $75 million to the Senate Republican Super PAC on September 9th. The very next day, the PAC sent $75 million to a pro-Paxton group. 2 weeks later, Musk gave $83 million. Next day, $83 million to Team Paxton. As a personal development coach, I teach delayed gratification. Elon can't wait 24 hours? This isn't fundraising, it's a drive-through. Elon pulls up to the speaker, says, one senator extra spicy, and Kent Paxton comes out the window. Paxton isn't running for the Senate, he's being leased. Next comes the software update, then the charging port behind his ear. than the terms of service. Elon may modify this, Senator, at any time without notice. Some candidates have donors. Ken Paxton has an owner's manual. And the kicker? Paxton needed the money because the Democratic opponent, James Tallarico, has raised far more. Tallarico is a former middle school teacher. The richest man on Earth spent $158 million to keep up with a guy who used to grade spelling tests. And Elon picked quite a horse. Ken Paxton spent nearly a decade fighting a securities fraud indictment before cutting a deal to end it. In 2023, his own Republican-controlled Texas House impeached him. The state Senate acquitted him. And this week, Mediaite reports he recently partied in Dubai with fugitives wanted by U.S. law enforcement. Okay, Ken, my networking tip: the goal is to meet people who are going places. Not people fleeing places. Paxton's resume reads like a Netflix crime series that got canceled for being unrealistic. Elon looked at it and said, finally, someone with a worse stock fraud vibe than me. Would you like to be the sort of successful person who is dominating news, at least in your industry? Well, if so, it's time to up your skills. At ultimize.com, I've created online courses to help you do that. Now, here's the thing. No obligation. And speaking of people Donald Trump wanted in charge of law enforcement, okay, Matt Gaetz, the man Donald Trump once picked to be Attorney General of the United States, Is now being sued in federal court for sex trafficking. Yeah, Trump wanted him to be America's top cop. Now he needs America's top lawyer. To be fair, Gaetz calls much of it false. The Justice Department declined to charge him, and he says a House ethics investigation never let him confront his accusers. Due process, even for Matt Gaetz, especially for Matt Gaetz. He's gonna need a lot of it. 2 women allege Gates paid them thousands of dollars. One alleges she watched him have sex with a 17-year-old. It's an allegation and it is horrifying. The suit says payments were labeled things like being my friend and car deductible. As a personal development guy who believes in budgeting, being my friend is not a line item. That's a confession with a memo field. TurboTax will ask, did you pay anyone to be your friend this year? The IRS will create Schedule F for friends, and an insurance agent will say, sir, our policy covers fender benders, not federal lawsuits. Gaetz says he can't wait for his day in court. For the first time ever, Matt Gaetz and the entire country want the exact same thing. And my tip, Matt, you told reporters you're looking forward to the depositions. In my coaching, I tell people to visualize success. Do not visualize your depositions. Where is Matt now? He hosts a show on OAN. He went from almost running the Justice Department to running a show his lawsuit could outdraw. That's not a career arc, that's a career drain. Matt Gaetz didn't get confirmed. Pete Hegseth did. Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth wanted to livestream the execution of Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hasan, and Donald Trump had to cancel the stream. Think about that. Pete Hegseth pitched a reality show too dark for the host of The Apprentice. I understand the appeal. Hasan murdered 13 soldiers. People want justice, and Hegseth said the world needs to see there are serious consequences. Fair enough. But Reuters reports no other country on Earth is known to livestream its executions. Not one. We were about to lose a human rights contest to countries whose national anthem is a car alarm. As a communications coach, let me translate. This wasn't defense policy. It was a TV pilot. Pete Hegseth runs the most powerful military in history, but in his heart, he's still pitching Fox's weekend lineup. I can see the strain. A countdown clock, a sponsor reads for tactical sunglasses, and Pete whispering, smash that like button for due process. Hegseth didn't want a deterrent, he wanted a ratings bump. And the best part? A White House official says Trump didn't even know about the plan. Pete Hegseth planned a worldwide broadcast and didn't tell Donald Trump. Oops, somebody was about to be on television and it wasn't Donald Trump. That's the real crime. When Donald Trump looks at your TV idea and says, that's a bit much, you've done something historic. It's like Guy Fieri telling you to calm down with the flames. Trump killed it on Truth Social, explaining that good people would rather not watch through streaming or through any other visual device. Any other visual device. He covered everything. No streaming, no VHS, no View-Master, no flipbook. Somewhere, a man with a slide projector got very disappointed. The Pentagon says Hegseth and Trump are completely aligned. Completely aligned. That's what my wife and I tell the neighbors right after she overrules me in the driveway. Even J.D. Vance thought the live stream was a bad idea. J.D. Vance, the man who called women childish cat ladies, thinks you lack sensitivity. Pete, when J.D. Vance says you're being cold, it's time to check your settings. So here's the scorecard. Fox livestreamed its own bad news. Musk livestreamed $158 million. Gaetz is about to livestream his memory under oath. And the only man in Washington who says, maybe don't put this on camera, was Donald Trump. But Pete, I don't want you to give up on your dream. You said Americans need to see serious consequences broadcast live. Good news. November 3rd, every network will carry them. It's called election night. I'm TJ Walker. Ultimize.
