Are you looking for the secret to getting a longer, healthier life? Well, one place to look is the so called blue zones. You've heard about Okinawa, Japan. Two things really struck me about why so many people there live to be 100 and the average is more like 90. And that's 90 years without disease and being active the whole time. The first thing is they don't exercise. At least what we think of exercise. They don't go to a gym, they don't go on a treadmill. Instead, they simply move all day long. The second thing is they have no word for retirement. The concept of retirement doesn't exist. They have a purpose in life, and that is a purpose they look forward to getting up and fulfilling every single day. If you want to live a longer, healthier life, look at those two things.
